"All of Israel is Palestine"
Denying Israel’s Right to Exist and Anticipating its Destruction

The foundation of Palestinian ideology is the denial of Israel’s right to exist. Jewish history is rewritten and Jewish historical presence in the Land of Israel in erased. All the agreements with Israel are said to be temporary. Palestinian Authority Television regularly broadcasts songs, dance, sermons and video clips encouraging Palestinians to anticipate, visualize, and hope for Israel’s destruction and replacement by a future "Palestine" "from the River to the Sea."

Statements made in English by Palestinian spokespeople regarding the desire to live 'side-by-side' with Israel are frequently contradicted in Arabic-language statements and opinions given in the various Palestinian media.

The dual nature of these messages are significant, as they are preparing Palestinians for ongoing conflict and not for peaceful resolution. Thus, any peace agreements signed in the future by Palestinians will be seen as a betrayal of the messages they've been taught for over a decade. Preparing people for peace now will help create peace now and in the future. Preparing people for ongoing conflict will destroy any chance of peace for the foreseeable future.

Hamas TV: Gaza evacuation by Israel leads to destruction of Israel - March, 2007

Hamas’s Al Aqsa TV broadcasts numerous political messages during its daily programming. The message that has been repeating most frequently in March is a statement made by Ahmad Yassin, founder and former head of Hamas, who was killed by Israel. The statement was made in response to Israel's plan to evacuate Israeli towns in Gaza Strip in 2005.

Yassin's message was that the Palestinians had found the key to destroying Israel. Since terror was forcing Israel to leave its towns in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinians would now only have to keep up the terror in Israel's other cities and Israel would run from those as well.

Video documentation of Abbas's lie to Rice about "recognizing" Israel - Oct. 3, 2006

Mahmoud Abbas continued the PA practice of saying in English what Western leaders want to hear while giving his people a diametrically opposed message in Arabic.

Mahmoud Abbas told Condoleeza Rice and the Arab world on Al-Arabiya satellite TV, contradictory messages about the essence of the conflict. He told Rice that he demands that Hamas recognize Israel, only a day after telling the Arab world that not only doesn't Hamas have to recognize Israel but even Fatah, which he heads, is not required to recognize Israel.

"Be gone. Die anywhere you like, but don't die here." PATV Aug. 26, 2006

PA TV program on Jaffa (Tel Aviv):

"It is time for you [Israelis] to be gone. Live wherever you like, but don't live among us. It is time for you to be gone. Die wherever you like, but don't die among us. We have the past here. We have the present, the present and the future. So leave our country, our land, our sea, our wheat, our salt, our wounds. Everything. And leave the memories."

These words of hate are the parting moments of yet another program on Palestinian Authority television calling for the destruction of Israel. The words, calling for the expulsion of every last Israeli from Israel, are spoken while the screen is showing Jaffa-Tel Aviv, Israelis and Israeli flags. Official PA TV has aired this twice in recent months.

The program about Jaffa opens with a revision of history, by casting the ancient Canaanites as Arabs. By doing this, the more than 3,000 years of Jewish history in the area are pre-dated by a fabricated Arab history. (The Arab Conquest actually took place in the seventh century of the Common Era.)

Jaffa, a part of Tel Aviv, is defined as a Palestinian city, and all of Israel's coastal cities, Acre, Haifa, Caesarea, Ashdod, Ashkelon and Jaffa, are said to be situated in what is "known today as Palestine." According to this PA program, Israel is already non-existent.

The final words of this television program are those of Israeli-Arab poet, Mahmoud Darwish, calling for the expulsion of every Israeli: "Die wherever you like, but don't die among us."

"My Homeland" clip, broadcast 1998-2006

A music video that had been broadcast hundreds of times since 1998 was aired again in 2006. The clip for children defines the entire land of Israel as "Palestine," saying that "in 1948 they (Israelis) took everything..." and explains that "they" changed its name. However it is still "Palestine."

The message to Palestinian children is that Israel's creation is to be seen as theft.

'If Palestine is divided, the entire Arab homeland is sick...' - PA TV, 2003 - 2006, repeatedly

PA educational television teaches that all of Israel belongs to the Palestinians. In this example, it teaches that if "Palestine," which includes all of Israel, is not whole, it endangers the entire Arab world, because "Palestine" is the heart of the Arab world. The map to define used to portray "Palestine" encompasses all of Israel.

This program was first broadcast in 2003. In the days after the Israeli withdrawal it was rebroadcast, on September 6, 2005, to put forward the same message - that all of Israel is Palestine. [PA TV, 2003 - 2006, repeatedly]

The Prisoners Play

The weeks after the voluntary Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in late summer 2005 saw a significant increase in the number of references to places in Israel as Palestinians. Such references came in children's programming, in statements by academics and in plays.

This play was televised on PA TV on September 25, 2005. It shows a conversation between two prisoners which reinforced the message that Haifa and Jaffa, both of which are in pre-1967 Israel, are Palestinian.

Reinforcing the message to children

As part of the televised campaign to reinforce the message that all of Israel is Palestine, in the wake of the voluntary Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, PA TV aired a program on September 11, 2005 in which children painted maps of 'Palestine' and discussed their reasons for doing so.

"Our happiness will not be complete" until Israel is destroyed

Dr. Ismaeil Al-Fara, a Palestinian academic, expressed the same anticipation of Israel's eventual destruction on September 2, 2005, describing the joy of the Gaza withdrawal as incomplete until Israel will be destroyed.

"Historical" series propagates myth

An "historical" series produced in Jordan and aired on Palestinian Authority Television rewrote history by showing a Jew forcing Palestinians off their land by way of force. The imagery used to portray the Jew mirrored that used by Germany in the 1930s. The message being sent in this series is that Jews have no right to Israel since they are their illegally.

The Key Dance

The key is a symbol frequently used by Palestinians to claim ownership to all of Israel. This televised dance from June 14, 2005 is an example of the use of such symbolism.

Diplomacy, then violence

On the last Friday before the Sharm A-Sheikh peace summit between then-Israeli Prime Minister Arial Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in February 2005, PA TV broadcast an official sermon which made clear to Palestinians the role, in Palestinian eyes, of peace talks. Ibrahim Mudayris, on February 4, 2005, delivered the sermon in which he called for Palestinians to use diplomacy to return to the 1967 lines, but violence to destroy Israel.

'We will return by blood' PATV May 2006

Over the period of two years (dozens of times from May 2004 through 2006), a PA educational program portrayed all of Israel as occupied "Palestine" stolen from Palestinians. The program compares refugees to Holocaust victims by using false images of Palestinians hanging from barbed wire that resemble authentic pictures of Holocaust victims. A young child talks of his "return" by his "blood." "We will return" is the repeating theme.

PA teaches Jews have no history in Israel

The foundation of PA ideology is that Israel’s very existence is injustice, because Jews are said to be foreigners "with no connection to our land and the history of our land." In this example from November 21, 2004, two Palestinian historians reinvent history in and effort to delegitimise Zionism and Israel.

Teenagers sing about Israel's destruction and 'returning' to Israeli cities

At a high school graduation ceremony, which was televised on July 7, 2003, teenagers sing about conquering Israel. Haifa, Jaffa and Ramle - all Israeli cities - will be 'liberated' with the "stone and the knife," according to the words the children are dancing to.

Child: "We must expel the Israelis"

A child interviewed on Palestinian Authority Television on December 25, 2003 showed that he had learnt his lessons well - there is no such thing as Israel, and Palestinians, with the help of the entire world, should expel all Israelis.

PA Teaches Children: Jewish history a lies

Palestinians frequently rewrite Jewish history teaching, for instance, that Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem was "the greatest lie in history by those liars." The prophets of the Hebrew Bible are said to have no connection to the Jews, but rather to Islam. Every Jewish connection to the Land of Israel is "lies." This is one example from Dr. Issam Sissalem, from the Islamic University in Gaza and televised on October 8, 2001.

Israel Will Be Destroyed Through Violence

Israel's destruction in war is often depicted symbolically in video clips on PA TV. Here a heart is dripping blood from the map of Israel. Arms with stones sprout from the land, symbolizing violence, which leads to the flag of the PA covering all of Israel - symbolizing Israel's destruction and replacement with Palestine. Map of "Palestine" in chains

The PA teaches its children that all of Israel is actually stolen Palestine. This is often depicted by showing a map of Israel in chains, as in this children's broadcast on PA TV from July 25, 2000. Note the date - from before the outbreak of violence in September 2000. This has been the PA educational policy since the start of the Oslo process.

The Bible Is "Lies," Jews Have No History in Israel

The Bible is said to be legends and lies, while Israelis are defined as "parasitic worms" that live in a snail's shell after first killing the snail. On April 17, 2001, Dr. Issam Sissalem said on an educational program, "We will not let anyone live in our shell!" and "The invaders will be erased."

Palestinians to Enter Israel as Conquerors

Claiming Israel as Palestine is common on Palestinian Authority Television, in sermons, educational programs, children's television and the like. In this example. from April 12, 2001, Dr. Ibrahim Madi teaches that with Allah's help, Palestinians will enter, "as conquerors," to various Israeli towns and cities.

Two senior PA Academics deny Israel’s legitimacy

Two senior PA historians go to great lengths to stress that all of Israel is actually "Palestine." Yet another reference as Israel as a cancer is made. The speakers are Jareer Al-Qidwa, Chairman of the PA Public Library and the late-Arafat’s Advisor on Education and Dr. Issam Sissalem, of the Islamic University in Gaza. This was broadcast on November 29, 2000.

Anticipate Israel's Inevitable Destruction

Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Madi, in an official sermon on June 8, 2001, asked Palestinians the rhetorical question of who, by "deceit and falsehood," renamed 'Palestine,' 'Israel.' He goes on to assure Palestinians that Muhammad promised Muslims that Israel would be destroyed.

All of Israel is Muslim Palestine

PA religious teaching presents the destruction of Israel as Allah's will. In this light, any Muslim who accepts Israeli rule over any part of pre-1967 Israel is a traitor who will end up in Hell. "There is no difference between Haifa and Nablus, Lod and Ramallah..." explains Yusuf Abu Sneina, imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque in this official, televised sermon of September 8, 2000. Three weeks later, violence errupted among the Palestinian population.

Anticipate Israel's Inevitable Destruction

PA TV hosts express the same disdain of Israel as official leaders. Here, on October 7, 2002, the host defines all of Israel, from the "River to the Sea," as Palestine and demands, "This is our land and the dogs must leave." The is regular sentiment on PA TV
