Four-year-old girl vows to be suicide terrorist
in Hamas TV dramatization - March 21, 2007

Hamas TV broadcast a video dramatization of the four-year-old daughter of female suicide bomber Reem Riyashi singing to her dead mother and vowing to follow in her footsteps. The video clip ends as the little girl picks up sticks of explosives from her mother's drawer.

Hamas video promotes terrorism among children - March 25, 2007

A Hamas video encouraging the participation of children in terrorism has been broadcast on Hamas TV. The video, which focuses on Ahmed Yassin, Hamas founder and religious leader killed by Israel, portrays young children as the continuation of Yassin. Children are shown in uniforms, holding rifles and participating in military training. The lyrics stress the children's connection to Yassin: “Even though they killed our [Ahmad] Yassin, the land will grow a thousand Ahmad.”

Teaching Children They Can Destroy Israeli Symbols- PATV July 26, 2006

One of the most frequently broadcast PA music videos over three years teaches children that throwing stones at Israelis defends mothers' honor. In one scene young boys throw stones at a glass window - smashing Jewish symbols and extinguishing the flames on a Menorah, a traditional Jewish candelabra, teaching children that their stones are stronger than Judaism. PA Child: "Daddy bought me a machine gun and a rifle"

Promoting violence and terror among children through video clips and other children's programming has long been a prominent component of Palestinian Authority Television. This week a young girl was asked to recite a poem on PA TV. The poem is the recounting of a present received from daddy; "a machine gun and rifle."

Talking Chick Promotes Massacre with AK-47

On a children's program discussing the importance of trees, "Tarabisho - the Talking Chick" - was the center of the discussion. The child moderator asked Tarabisho what he would do if someone, specifically a "little boy," were to chop down his tree. In his squeaky little voice, Tarabisho answered: "I'll fight him and make a big riot, I'll call the whole world and make a riot. I'll bring AK-47s [assault rifles] and the whole world, I'll commit a massacre in front of the house".

Rather than use this opportunity to teach children the value of peaceful communication and negotiation - peace education in other words - the Palestinian Authority instead aired a message that promoted violence as a way to solve problems.

Mother Sends Her Sons to Fight and Die

In this music video, a mother's son is killed whilst attacking Israelis and his body is brought to her. After her traditional wail of joy she hands his rifle to the next son in line. This PA produced music video was broadcast numerous times.

Song and Dance to Violence

This MTV style music video from PA TV calls upon children to attack Israelis with stones - "You will not be saved, O Zionist, from the volcano of my county's stones" - and is sung to scenes of children throwing stones and participating in frenzied 'war dances.'

Child Soldiers of the PA

In a shocking program, PA TV lionized three young boys who had purposefully sought Shahada, or Death for Allah. A poster labelling them heroes of the great Islam is shown and their suicidal action dubbed their badge of honor. The mother of one of the boys - aged between 15 and 17 - is shown saying that she was grieved - not that one of her boys died as a shahid, but only that the specific boy died. She would much rather one of her other sons have died. Such is the level of death worship on PA TV.

Music Video to Children:
Fight and "Don't be Afraid"

This PA TV music video instructs children to attack soldiers with stones and attempts to allay their fears. "Don't be afraid," the 10-year-old sings to the five-year-old repeatedly. "The stone in their hand turns into a Kalashnikov..."

This was broadcast repeatedly 2000 - 2003.

PA Teaches Young Children to Replace Toys with Rocks

Young Palestinian boys and girls are taught to replace their trucks and dolls with rocks in this clip, which aired repeatedly in 2001. The clip explicitly teaches that the time for peace is over - reinforcing the message constantly given to Palestinian children that violence is the answer to all their problems.

Kill all the Jews - Words of Palestinian Teenager on TV

In clear proof that the many years of constant hate education in Palestinian media and schools has produced a generation steeped in love of violence, PA TV aired the frenzied shouts of a teenage in which she asks the countries of the world to supply Palestinian children so they can kill all the Jews - "We won't leave a single Jew here."

PA Children Taught to be Combatants - Visual Messages

In the very same week that the Palestinian Journalists Union "banned journalists from photographing Palestinian children carrying weapons ... [because] the pictures harm the Palestinian cause" [AP, August 26, 2002], PA TV interviewed a child in his home - and for the purpose of the interview - he held a Kalashnikov automatic rifle. The media regularly shows pictures of children with weapons.
