1. Israel poisons Palestinians as systematic policy

The Head of the Palestinian Consumer Protection Association - in a series of libels reminiscent of the medieval libels of Jews poisoning wells:

“[Israel] floods our markets with hundreds of thousands of tons of food products which are unfit for human consumption... The common goal which stands behind this is the proliferation of disease, weakness, and slow death in the Palestinian body through indirect means... Milk, which is designated for fattening calves, is packaged and smuggled to the Palestinian markets and sold as milk for babies... The distribution of meat and lamb, which are filled with carcinogenic hormones is done intentionally ... [and they engage in] the penetration of poisons and filth-ridden products and smuggling them to us. He [Head of Consumer Protection Association] points to these three subjects which cause severe disease which destroy the Palestinian's body and influence the genetic code and the destruction of the coming generations, all this in accordance with hard scientific facts... He pointed to the fact that the children are the main target of this hostile plan..."

2. The Jewish plan to control the world, in the spirit of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"

"Corruption is in the nature of the Jews all over the world, to the point where only rarely do you find corruption that Jews are not behind. Their intense love of money and its accumulation is common knowledge, and the way they get it does not interest them and they are liable to exercise degradation and the most lowly of methods in order to achieve their goals... If we take a look at history, we discover to what degree the Jews were exposed to loss and expulsion the world over, as a result of their ugly deeds and their wickedness. This is after their issues were discovered and their responsibility for the destruction of the land and its people caused its people [of the land] to start a war of annihilation against them and those who survived were dispersed around the world...

It is interesting that whoever was wounded in their curse continues to hang around their circle [i.e. continues to be influenced by them] while carrying out their will, and he doesn't think of freeing himself, but rather confines his thinking only [for the purpose of] not being exposed, so that he will not be exposed to a scandal that will undermine his authority and make him fall after Zionism raised him to the highest level, so that he would be an obedient tool in their hands..."

3. The Jews took control of the world media, changed their real "Shylock" image, and even fabricated the Holocaust

"The Jews were the object of hatred and contempt everywhere, due to their control over most of the economic resources, on which people's jobs were dependent, and the most prominent example for this is the play "The Merchant of Venice" by the English playwright Shakespeare, in which Shylock, the merchant, portrays the image of the greedy, crafty Jew who is evil and loathsome.

"If so, how did the Jews succeed in brainwashing the American and European public opinion to change the image [of the Jew] to an understanding, brave, genius, diligent and creative person, whom the world looks up to?

"They began to distribute horrific pictures of mass shooting being committed against them and to fabricate the shocking story about gas ovens, which, according to them, Hitler would burn them.

"Newspaper columns began to fill up with pictures of Jews being cut down by Hitler's machine guns, and of Jews being led to the gas ovens. In these pictures they concentrated on women, children and the elderly. And they took advantage of this in order to arouse admiration for them, while they demand a monetary compensation, grants and contributions from all over the world. The truth is that the persecution of the Jews is a false fable that the Jews called the disaster of the "Holocaust" ... and took advantage of it in order to arouse admiration...

"The reliable ones among the historians called on the Jews to bring convincing evidence in order to prove it. The Historical Studies Association, based in Los Angeles, announced a fifty thousand dollar grant to whomever will bring hard evidence that the Jews were murdered in the gas chambers, but the Jews escaped the pressure and [made] accusations of anti-Semitism, and so they quieted those voices.

4. Israel destroys the Palestinian agricultural sector

Though Israel was instrumental in revolutionizing farming practices for the benefit of the Arab population, the PA Farmers Association accused Israel of:

"Distributing medication and spoiled agricultural materials in the Palestinian markets with the intention of hitting the agricultural sector, destroying the crops and endangering the health of the consumers..."

5. Israel dumps poisonous waste

Headline: "The Occupation is Burying Poisonous Waste near Jenin."

"Dr. Yussef Abu Sefiyeh, Minister for Environmental Affairs, uncovered the existence of Israelis, who are dumping the excesses of the Israeli chemical plants' poisonous waste into the nature reserve near the Am Al-Toth village in the Jenin region. This case, which exposes the lives of the residents and the Palestinian environment to danger, is the fourth of its kind during four years of waste burying. Minister Abu Sefiyeh put full responsibility on the Israeli government for these dangerous steps, which expose the lives of the residents to danger..."

6. "Spoiled food, drugs, alcoholic drinks"

"The Minister [for Social Affairs] Antazar Al-Wazir said that her office provides all possible help to those fighting drugs however the Israeli authorities are working hard on bringing drugs into the Palestinian society."

"General Al-Afifi [the Director of General Intelligence in Gaza] added that there is continuous surveillance and supervision on the settlements, as the settlements are seen as a source of corruption, being distributors of spoiled food, drugs, alcoholic drinks, and the like."

7. Historical Distortions - Israel planned Sabra and Shatila killings

A widespread tactic in the PA is to use events that indeed occurred as a starting point, so that the distortions have a basis in reality. For example, the killing of Muslims in Sabra and Shatilla by Christian Lebanese is rewritten in PA history as a cruel Israeli massacre in minute detail.

"...the Israeli forces ... prepared the scene of the crime by landing battalions with helicopters... The helicopters shot flares and even followed up on the execution while the crime was committed... We say that the Israeli goal was to kill the maximum number of camp residents...

"There is no doubt that the Israeli strategic policy is to commit massacres, not only the massacre of Sabra and Shatilla...

"The memory of the painful massacre which was planned by he who is still serving in the government of the occupation until this very day, into which came groups of settlers and our enemies and committed this despicable crime... Heads of children were cut off and their bodies ripped to pieces, their limbs were dispersed and the honor of women was violated in front of everyone... Our enemies still desire the heads of our sons and Palestinian blood is still being spilt like water. No one was arrested and no one will be arrested, because the policy which our enemies are implementing against the Muslims is written in the beginning of our history..."

8. Historical Distortions - Israel is blamed for Arab murder

An Arab woman was stabbed to death in Jerusalem by an Arab who explained he had mistaken her for a Jew. Still the PA's official paper, as well as the PA Deputy Minister of Religion, accused Jews of murder.

"Naila Hamdan Karain, age 47, of Silwan [in Jerusalem] fell as a shahida [a woman who died for Allah] in the neighborhood of Musrara, after being stabbed by an extremist Jew in the settlement neighborhood..."

Deputy Minister of Religion, Yussef Juma'a Salame:

"These days we hear of the murder of our people daily. The crime of the stabbing of the young woman yesterday in the city of Jerusalem is a link in the chain of the continuous acts of stabbing against all sectors of our people. These repeated attacks prove the level of hostility and hatred against our people who stand in Jerusalem and its environs."

9. Libels accusing Israel of using illegal weapons

"Medical sources reported yesterday evening that more than 40 residents were injured in a strange occurrence of hysteria and nervous collapse as a result of their inhaling poison gas, fired for the first time by the Israeli occupation forces on defenseless residents. Medical specialists are of the opinion that it is nerve gas, prohibited by international law."

10. "Massacre is the basis of the State of Israel"

"We were still children when Palestine was conquered... Since that rainy evening, in the beginning of the winter of '48, and during a lifetime, the wound remains open. The details change but the acts of massacre continue incessantly as if they are the story of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Hardly a month goes by without hearing or reading about 'lately we have begun to see the pictures of new acts of massacre...'

"However, the reality is that the massacres are a clear, political act in the blood-filled history of the Zionist entity...

"This is not a policy of a party, faction, stream or person.

"This is a continuing, non-stop system, which has not changed, will not change, and which was never given up on, whether the power lay with those called 'extremists' of the 'right-wing' from the Likud party and the religious streams, or with those who are classified as 'moderates' of the Labor party crowd and the streams which are affiliated with the left. Massacre is the basis of the State of Israel...

11. Israel blamed for Palestinian terror

For years, world governments commented on the refusal of the heads of the PA to condemn Palestinian terror. In fact, the situation was much worse, as the PA media often went so far as to blame Israel for the Palestinian terror attacks on Israelis. One example: After the bomb attack at the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem in November 1997, the PA daily ran a front page article accusing Israel of carrying out the attack:

"Palestinian sources believe that the Israeli intelligence stands behind the bombing... These sources estimated that there is a 'mole' of one of the Israeli [intelligence] systems [which stands behind] the bombing, such as happened in the throwing of two hand grenades on the bus stations in Beer Sheva a few weeks ago, after which it was found that the man who carried out the attack, Salem Al-Saba, was recruited by the Israeli intelligence...

"Palestinian sources said that 'the Palestinian security forces have a number of leads and signs of the existence of an external party which stands behind the last attack and the recent series of attacks, which have a political goal of confusing the PA...'"

12. News item lie is exposed on TV to the world

A premeditated ambush and stoning attack of an Israeli vehicle near Ramallah and the subsequent beating and stoning of the soldier inside was broadcast on television around the world. However, the PA television afternoon news reported that it was the soldier who fired on the demonstrators:

"The confrontation broke out after the Israeli soldier fired from his car..."

That night PA TV changed the story, blaming other soldiers:

"The soldiers of the Occupation fired bullets and tear gas."

A week later, Arafat had a new version:

"The President [Arafat] said that the soldier made a mistake in coming close to the demonstrators. He should have stayed away as did the other cars."

PA Editor: Israel attacked Paris synagogue to encourage French Jews to come to Israel

Introduction

One of the common tactics of Palestinian Authority (PA) propaganda is to blame Israel for Palestinian and Arab terrorism. Now a prominent PA newspaper editor has come up with a new twist on this tactic.

Last week a new libel was invented by the editor of the official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, in an interview on PA TV. The editor explained that because Israel suffers from low immigration, it was Israel who started a December 2003 fire in a Parisian Synagogue - to convince French Jews to immigrate to Israel.

The following are the words of Hafez Barghouti on PA TV:

"Hidden Zionists hands are still acting in France in the same way they used to act in Arab countries - Iraq, Egypt and Morocco, blowing up and attacking Jews and Jewish synagogues in order to force them to immigrate [to Israel].

"Lately there was an attack on a synagogue, so the Israeli ambassador in France called for the Jews in France to immigrate [to Israel]. There are Israeli or Zionist hands that carry out attacks against the Jews to force them to immigrate [to Israel], since Israel suffers from emigration"

1. Israel poisons candies to kill children

"In a new step aimed to kill more children, the Occupation forces threw large quantities of poisoned candies in front of two schools last night... Salem Ahmad, a medic, said that when he collected ten pieces of these unwrapped candies, he felt the rubber glove on his hand melting, in addition to experiencing breathing difficulties, strong headache, dizziness..."

2. Israel puts bombs in toys to kill children

The newest Arabic language libel on Palestinian Authority Television is that Israel is now making "bombs and mines designed as toys" and dropping them from airplanes in populated areas where children play with them and are blown up.

In addition, the program restated numerous old libels and lies, including Israel' alleged plot to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque, that the two Jewish temples were not on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, that Israel desecrated the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and many others.

The following is the text from the program: "Message to the World":

"The Zionist criminals are planning to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the grounds that they are searching for the Holy Temple, which they falsely claim is under the mosque...

"Offenses against our Islamic and Christian holy sites continue throughout Palestine. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is under threat, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has not been spared from desecration and destruction...

"They drop objects from jet planes that attract children to play with them and then they blow up. These are bombs and mines designed as toys."

3. Judaism sees Arabs as the stage between Jew and monkey

A basic tenet of Palestinian Authority (PA) anti-Semitism and racism is to define both Jews and Judaism as evil by nature. In the following text, a Palestinian Authority minister firsts libels the Jewish people by asserting that murder of Arabs is a tenet of Zionism. He then denigrates Judaism by saying that the Zionist killing of Arabs comes directly from the Jewish religion, because Judaism sees the Arab as subhuman - "the stage between the Jew and the monkey."

The following is a statement from Palestinian Authority Minister of Supplies Abd El-Aziz Shahin in a PA TV interview:

"Since the nineteenth century the Zionist mind has been built upon the killing of the Arab people. They do not want a single Arab on Palestinian soil. This is a matter that exists with every Zionist, whether he is right-wing, center, or left-wing ... because the Zionist education ... in their religious schools, where they learn that they are the chosen people of God and we are the others, we are considered the stage between the Jew and the monkey. This is a basis of the Jewish religion, and from this comes the killing of the Arab people in Palestine."

4. Israel shoots and mutilates body parts of dead Palestinians.

"When the occupying authority holds the bodies of shahids [people who have died for Allah] ... it does so in order to hide the traces of its crimes. The witnesses and evidence prove that the occupation forces torture the bodies of the shahids on purpose and fire bullets into them at close range... There are clear indicators that the occupying authorities steal body parts of the shahids during the holding process, in order to use them in Israeli hospitals, especially for Israeli patients in need of transplants. After they seize the body parts of the shahids, they bury the corpses ... under dubious circumstances, scorning humanitarian values and moral and religious regulations..."

5. Lies, half-truths and distortions

Throughout history, lies, half-truths and distortions have been employed to incite to violence and to legitimize mass murder.

The following excerpts - from an op-ed in the official Palestinian Authority daily - are blatant examples. The author fabricates hate-filled, racist quotes and attributes them to Israel's founding fathers. Similar falsification is used to delegitimize America's origins.

Title: "Zionism - [The] Apartheid of the Third Millenium"

"...History presents political regimes that were governed by political and economic greed, and that conquered other lands and peoples with the intent of robbing and exploiting their resources. Thus did Columbus ... who carried out collective extermination of the original peoples of Latin America, laying the basis for the Western colonialism, which embraced Darwin's Theory of Evolution and Natural Selection theories, which presume the technologically primitive nations to be evolutionary vestiges of the apes...

"...This is the same 'philosophy' that the Zionist movement adopted in Palestine, against the Palestinian people. Herzl confirmed the colonialist and racist inclination of Zionism - which goes hand-in-hand with the colonialist West - when he said: '...Following the establishment of the Zionist State, we will serve as Europe's buffer in Palestine against Asia, and as civilization's strike force against the barbarians, as well as European civilization's shield against the putrid odor emanating from the inhabitants of Asia.'

"...This is [the essence of] racism itself, for racism stems from exaggerating a certain race's value as opposed to that of all other races combined, as Hitler did by raising the banner of Arian blood and the doctrine of blue blood flowing in the veins.

"Colonialist racism is not limited to Herzl alone. Jabotinsky, a product of German language and thought, said: 'The Jewish nation is part of the master European race, the supreme race...' Herzl said: 'We must obliterate the Palestinians from existence, force them to perform labor that will wipe them out, so that this will be a land without a nation for a nation without a land."

6. Israel causing Palestinian birth defects

"Authoritative medical sources revealed that there is an increase in the average number of deformed births in the Shafaa hospital in Gaza. They do not deny the possibility that this phenomenon is associated with depleted uranium."

7. Israel uses 'winged-bullets'

"Senior medical sources related yesterday that the occupation forces used a new kind of lethal bullets against innocent residents" The new bullets have sharp metal wings and they fly at great speeds..."

8. Israel is accused of PA crimes

The Palestinians often issue false statements contradicting publicly known facts. The entire world saw the televised destruction of Joseph's Tomb by Palestinian mobs and police. Yet the Palestinians reported the event as follows:

"Yesterday, the city of Nablus began the rehabilitation and renovation of the demolished parts of 'Joseph's Tomb' ... It is important to note that heavy damage was caused to the tomb and to a large number of nearby structures during these disturbances, in the wake of the shootings by the occupation forces, which are concentrated on Mounts Grizim and Eival, and because of their use of heavy machine guns."

9. Israel shoots on Israelis to provoke responses

The PA attributes continuous scheming to Israel, including shooting at Jews to legitimize military responses:

"The [Palestinian] Military Court in Hebron sentenced the [Palestinian] officer Hassan Massalem, 55, yesterday morning to death by firing squad... The military prosecutor accused him of conspiring with Israeli intelligence ... with firing a pistol from the Hebron neighborhood toward Israeli positions on orders of his Israeli controllers, in order to give the occupation soldiers a pretext for massively shelling the residential neighborhood..."

10. Israel wants to expand by conquering Arab states

The portrayal of Israel as wanting to expand to conquer all Arab states is a repeated libel. This is exemplified in a venomous music video in which an actor portrays an Israeli teacher in a classroom of Jewish children wearing kippot (religious skullcaps) in front of the Israeli flag, teaching:

"The Land of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates."

The video clip is shown as if were an actual classroom in a Jewish school. The actors speak Hebrew, though with heavy Arabic accents.

11. Blood libel

"Medical sources reported yesterday evening that more than 40 residents were injured in a strange occurrence of hysteria and nervous collapse as a result of their breathing in poison gas, which for the first time was fired by the Israeli occupation forces on defenseless residents. Medical specialists are of the opinion that it is nerve gas, whose use is prohibited by international law."

"...Many of the citizens who participated in the demonstration told 'Wafa' [the Palestinian News Agency] that the main reason for the distribution of drugs in the holy city originates from the Israeli occupation - who aims at the youth of Jerusalem in order to attain their goals, after aiming at the [Palestinian] land.

"Sultan Abu Sneina, one of the participants in the informative campaign, told Wafa that "the occupation has a part in the distribution of these plagues, in order to ruin the youth..."

12. Jews think they're superior

"There were very important factors that influenced the Jewish personality. Among them, the religious idea - this was foremost - and the upbringing, the children's upbringing. From the moment the child is born, he nurses hatred against others, nurses seclusion, nurses superiority."

"I truly do not see the state of the Israeli society as a state of confusion, but, rather, as a natural result of an education that was maintained by fundamentalist Jewish upbringing to violence, hostility and racism - thus distorting the image of the Arabs and Muslims. And the Jewish child nurses hatred with the milk...

"We want a generation that recognizes and understands the structure of the Jewish personality."

13. Jews want to humiliate all Muslims

"Who said that the Jews are not scheming day and night to humiliate this [Islamic] nation...?

"And still the Jews, young and old, males and females, leaders and citizens, contrive to humiliate this nation..."

14. Israel poisoned Arafat

"We are absolutely sure that the Zionist government is responsible for the attempt to kill the President [Arafat]. We have no doubt that it somehow poisoned him to kill him slowly...

"These [Jews] are the cursed apes and pigs. It is our right to pray to Allah to cure him, and to plant poison in the hearts of those pigs. Have you seen them on TV embracing each other, singing and dancing - those apes, those pigs - on the news about our president's [impending] death."

In a television interview to mark the one year anniversary of Arafat's death, the following claims and accusations were made:

1. Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz decided in June 2002 to kill Arafat in a way that could not be linked to Israel.
2. Bassam Abu Sharif, former adviser to Arafat, who learned of the plan, wrote a letter to Arafat informing him of the plot. He presented the alleged letter on TV as "evidence." He even cited what he called the "exact words" of Sharon and Mofaz's private conversation.
3. One participant in the broadcast claimed to be Arafat's food taster, insisting he ate from Arafat's food at least half an hour before Arafat to prevent his poisoning.
4. The US knew about the plan to murder Arafat, and approved it on the condition that it was not carried out by a bomb attack.
5. Taysir Al-Tamimi, Chief Justice of the Sharia [Islamic Law] Court of Palestine, who vi- sited Arafat in hospital in Paris "saw" the "severe thinning" of Arafat's blood, which continued "even after his death."
6. The French doctors who treated Arafat in the final stage of his illness know that Arafat was poisoned. But they have refused to divulge this information because they fear it would prompt a violent Palestinian reaction that would destroy the PA's chance for an independent state.
7. The exact poison is unknown because it is a military secret.

15. Jews the cause of all the world's problems

"The Muslim remembers how the Jews corrupted the land. The Jews are Jews, O Muslims, their character and their custom are the corruption and destruction of this land. We keep warning you, the Jews are a cancer that spreads inside the body of the Arab and Islamic nation. 16. Israel distributes drugs amongst Palestinians

The following is a limited selection of Palestinian drug libels, beginning with the most recent example and going back to 1999.

1. "It is known that drugs are an imperialist weapon. The Occupation is not interested in conquering the land alone; it is interested in conquering the youth... The easiest way for the Occupation to control the youth is … through drugs. You can see for yourself that a drug user is a man who does not oppose the Occupation, will not throw a stone and will not do a thing."

We have documents proving that the police and the Shabakh [Israel's internal intelligence service] plan to splinter the Palestinian youth in the holy city."
