PA: US gave nod to kill Arafat By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - November 18, 2005 The Palestinian Authority has recently called for an international investigation into the November 2004 death of Yasser Arafat in Paris. But in a fresh libel PA officials told their own people in Arabic this week that no investigation is necessary, because they have hard evidence that Israel poisoned Arafat - with the approval of the US. In a television interview with PA officials, the following claims and accusations were made:
Allegations that Israel was behind Arafat's illness are not new. In fact, they appeared in the PA media soon after Arafat became ill (see, for example, the adjacent cartoon). However, this week's broadcast, one year since his death, went beyond the general accusations to asserting that his killing by Israel was a fact. This murder libel follows the PMW report this week documenting the ongoing Palestinian Authority drug libel. Both are examples of the current Palestinian Authority policy of artificially initiating hatred of Israel, even as Israel goes to great lengths and takes great risks, to improve conditions for Palestinians. Palestinian Media Watch has frequently noted libels appearing in the Palstinian media. Click here to read some examples from before September 2000, and here to read some examples since that time - including an official sermon from this time last year saying that Palestinians were "absolutely sure" that Israel poisoned Arafat. PA Libel: Israel
deliberately By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - November 15, 2005
The head of a Palestinian Authority drug prevention program accused Israel this week of intentionally "conquering the youth" by supplying drugs to Palestinian Authority areas. This is not an isolated example of hate speech, but part of an ongoing drug libel that has been promoted by the PA leadership for more than six years. The accusations have included the lies that "there is a unit in the Israeli intelligence that specializes in drug distribution among teenagers," and that Israelis confessed to distributing "perfumes that cause their inhalers to become addicted to drugs."
The PA drug libel has been used for
six years. A Palestinian official has even stated that Israelis "encourage the addiction to drugs by a payment of 4,500 shekels to he who proves he's addicted to drugs." Participating in the drug libel are senior PA officials, including the Minister for Social Affairs, the Director-General of War on Drugs, head of the Professional Program of the Supreme National Council for Preventing Drug Distribution, Fatah leaders and others. Libels like these are not harmless insults. They follow a long dark history of anti-Semitic libels, which range from the myth that Jews poisoned wells in the Middle Ages to the infamous 'blood libel,' that Jews used the blood of Christians to make the unleavened Matzah bread for Passover - all of which were used successfully in Europe to arouse hatred of Jews and incite murder.
Whereas the PA leadership is telling its people to curb terror for now because "it damages Palestinian interests," Palestinian Media Watch has documented in previous bulletins that the PA's many-faceted hate campaign continues unabated. These drug libels are just one component of this PA campaign to keep hatred simmering. This campaign is indeed disturbing, as it indicates the PA is still stockpiling hatred for some future time, for if and when it decides that another terror war is in its interest. Palestinian Media Watch has found dozens of examples of the drug libel over the years. The following is a limited selection of such libels, beginning with the most recent examples and going back to 1999. 1. "It is known that drugs are
an imperialist weapon. The Occupation is not interested in conquering
the land alone; it is interested in conquering the youth... The easiest
way for the Occupation to control the youth is … through drugs.
You can see for yourself that a drug user is a man who does not oppose
the Occupation, will not throw a stone and will not do a thing." 2. "Drugs, they fight us with drugs.
They choose various means to fight us. At times by planes and at times
by drugs." 3. "There is a unit in the Israeli
intelligence that specializes in drug distribution among the teenagers
and the youth in our society." 4. "The Palestinian nation is under
a savage attack by the Occupation in all areas. Among them, the role of
the Occupation in distributing drugs in the Palestinian territories." 5. "...The confessions of an Israeli
espionage network who were arrested in Lebanon... They weren't satisfied
in the planning of the [Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan] Nasrallah assassination,
but also distributed harmful Israeli merchandise ... including sport shoes
that cause the person wearing it to suffer paralysis, skin disease and
perfumes that cause their inhaler to become addicted to drugs..." 6. "...In addition to encouraging
drug dealing, Israelis welcome and encourage the addiction to drugs by
a payment of 4,500 shekels to he who proves he's addicted to drugs..." 7. "... There is a clear Israeli
plan to cause many civilians to fall by drug spreading and distribution
among the young... They have become a victim of the Occupation... They
aspire to distribute the disease in the broadest way by lowering prices,
so they can be afforded by the majority of the young..." 8. "The Occupation Authority -
by inserting and distributing them [the drugs] in our districts - wishes
to destroy our ability, and to weaken our beliefs in the resistance against
the occupier." 9. "Since the '67 occupation, there
has been an Israeli attack against the Palestinian youth in Jerusalem.
This attack has many faces with the objective of emptying the youth of
its national values and stripping it of its identity and Arab-Palestinian
belonging, by the distribution of drugs and feeding the society with bad
phenomenon. We have documents proving that the police and the Shabakh
[Israel's internal intelligence service] plan to splinter the Palestinian
youth in the holy city." 10. "The [current] stage of the
Israeli occupation is the stage of the rapid spreading of drugs ... in
our country... The goal of the Israeli occupation is to destroy the national
wealth that manifests itself in our youth…" Hamas Pre-Election Video: By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook, October 27, 2005
Hamas has recently placed on its website a new half-hour video that can only be seen as part of its election campaign. The video reviews what its makers see as recent Hamas successes as well as its plans for the future. The video features military-style training for Hamas terrorists and explicit encouragement of suicide terrorists and their mothers. The well-publicized Hamas plan to destroy Israel is reiterated, as are Hamas plans to remain the "resistance" (the Palestinian euphemism for terror) group of choice for all Palestinian and jihad terrorists. The video has appeared on the Hamas site at almost the same time that the US State Department has made clear that it will make no attempt to block Hamas from participating in the upcoming Palestinian parliamentary elections. The EU and UN have also agreed that Hamas, which appears on official EU and US lists of terrorist organizations, can participate in the elections. Click here to view three minutes of the half-hour video The video includes the following:
Palestinian Media Watch has added a segment of an August 2005 broadcast by Muhammad Deif, commander of Al-Qassam Brigades, the terrorist wing of Hamas (also posted on the Hamas website), in which he reasserts the Hamas goal to "liberate" the Israeli cities of Jerusalem, Safed, Haifa, Jaffa and others. Horrific
anti-Semitic series now By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - October 23, 2005 The Diaspora (Al-Shatat), a Syrian-produced TV series depicting how Jews, as ideology and religious conviction, are trying to subjugate the entire world, is now being broadcast for the third time in recent years on Arabic language Satellite TV. It was first broadcast in 2003 on Al-Manar (Hizbollah TV), in 2004 is was aired on Iranian TV, and now it is being broadcast during the Ramadan on Jordanian TV Al-Mamnou [See below about Al-Mamnou]. The series presents itself as an authentic historical depiction of the period of the Zionist movement and revolves around the "Secret Jewish World Government," whose members meet and plan how to control the leaders of the world, and thus, direct all of history. The Jewish Government is shown plotting and causing the Russian Revolution, the World Wars, encouraging the Nazi murder of Jews, and engineering the use of atomic bombs on Japan. The Jews are described as evil and bloodthirsty, interested only in power and world domination. The series also includes horrific distortions of Judaism, including the presentation of the use of a Christian child's blood in preparation of Matzah for Passover, as religious necessity. The graphic episode features Jews kidnapping a Christian boy and slitting his throat to drain his blood, and the brutal execution of a Jew by a "Talmudic" court, by pouring boiling lead down his throat. [Warning: These two links, which appear below, are very difficult to view.] All of the anti-Semitic libels in this series are presented as fact. The following are links to seven representative segments of this series that is now showing on Jordanian TV (Al-Mamnou), as they appeared in 2003 on Al Manar. [Al-Mamnou is an independent Jordanian television station, whose goal, according to their mission statement, is to bring a broad range of opinions to Arabic satellite TV.] To view these segments, click on each topic Full transcripts appear below
PA Hate TV: Israelis murder By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook - October 10, 2005 Two foundations of Palestinian Authority hate ideology are the denial of Israel's legitimacy
as a state and the depiction of Israel
and Israelis as cruel and inhumane murderers. The PA under Mahmoud Abbas
continues to promote this hate ideology. The following are two examples
of these hate messages, as they appeared on Palestinian Authority Television
in recent days.
1. Israeli soldier murders a bride in her wedding gown The Canaanite is a Palestinian-produced series for daily viewing during the month of Ramadan. The story centers on a young man who, according to the script, underwent torture in Israeli prisons and feigns insanity. The scene opens with a bride dancing by herself in her flowing gown on the beach. An Israeli soldier sees her from his watchtower, and then races to the beach to murder her. Her murder is followed by the sick evil laughter of the hook-nosed Israeli soldier. Filfil, the series' hero, runs and holds
the dead woman in the water. Unable to revive her, he stands in rage,
races off and fires his rifle in the air. The next scene sees the hero
wake up- it had all been a dream.
2. PA Play: Israeli cities "Jaffa and Haifa are Palestinian" A play filmed in front of a live audience and broadcast on PA TV shows Palestinian actors depicting terrorists (called "resistance fighters") in Israeli jails. One prisoner recounts how he was repeatedly beaten by an Israeli soldier for saying he came from Jaffa. Jaffa is an Israeli city, part of Tel Aviv, but the PA often defines it is an as "occupied Palestinian city." The soldier insists the prisoner say he is from Gaza. Upon hearing the story, a second prisoner responds, almost in tears, "No, definitely not! Jaffa and Haifa are ours! Jaffa and Haifa are ours!" The studio audience reacts with cheers and applause. This presentation of all of Israeli cities as "Occupied Palestine" is reflected throughout PA society, media and education.
Full text from the PA TV play: Prisoner A: "The soldier asked me, 'Where are you from?' I said, 'From Jaffa,' so he hit me. He asked me again, 'Where are you from?' I said, 'From Jaffa,' so he hit me. I could not stand it any more, so I told him, 'Tell me what to say!' "He said, 'Say you are from Gaza! Jaffa and Haifa are not yours.' Prisoner B: "No, definitely not. Jaffa and Haifa are ours! Jaffa and Haifa are ours!" [Cheers and applause]
PA:
Arab contact with Israel The West views diplomatic contacts between once belligerent countries as an important and necessary step towards peace, and accordingly has welcomed the recent diplomatic contacts between Israel and some Muslim and Arab states. However, these events - notably meetings
between Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom and the foreign ministers
of Indonesia, Pakistan and other Muslim countries - has incensed the Palestinian
Authority, which vehemently opposes what it calls the "normalization"
of relations with Israel. The Palestinian National Committee Against
Normalization condemned any movement of Muslim countries towards improved
relations with Israel, labeling such a move "a stab in the collective
back of the Palestinian people." In addition to the prostitute depiction, the official Palestinian Authority daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, continues publishing cartoons maligning those Arabs and Muslims who seek "normalization" with Israel. The recent meetings, which are far from normalization, are typically depicted as either a betrayal of the Palestinians or as a threat to the Arab and Muslim world. The following are further examples of cartoons in Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, published as a result of these diplomatic meetings:
The attacks on Muslim normalization with Israel are not limited to the official daily. The following is one example, from today's Al-Quds, October 2, 2005: Arabs are criticized for secretly submitting to Israel, symbolized by the secret "kissing" of Israel's hand
PA
sermon: Katrina A Palestinian Authority religious leader preached on PA radio that the death and destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina was Allah's punishment to the United States for fighting Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq and the PA, and for threatening Iran and Syria. Yusuf Abu Sneina, Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, also repeated a common theme that America's time as a power will end, and America will fall like such earlier powers as "Persia and the Byzantine." The sermon was aired on Voice of Palestine, a PA-owned and -run radio station. The following is the text of the Friday sermon: "...And then Katrina happened, and the American president stood dazzled, beaten, defeated, stunned, lamenting his lot ... and the question we are presenting here is, was the USA able to stop Allah's power, and limit His will? Within a few hours the storm has destroyed enormous areas and the water flooded the houses... "O Muslims, the greatness of the USA has fallen in the face of the storm... O Muslims, always remember that oppression never lasts forever, that the era of tyrants will not last forever, that the era of tyrants will not last forever. Where are the kings of [Ancient] Persia and the Byzantine emperors? Where are the nations of the past? Where are the former powerful states? Allah alone is the one who takes revenge, the Mighty One. "Therefore, learn a lesson, O you who see through things, owners of wisdom, the oppression of the USA in the world - especially in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and here, in our own land Palestine - has crossed the line, and Allah was right when He said in Surat Hud [from the Quran],'These are some of the stories of communities that we relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down... Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong; grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement. In that is a sign for those who fear the penalty of the hereafter: that is a Day for which mankind will be gathered together. That will be a Day of Judgment.' "Servants of Allah, isn't it high
time the USA pulled back its oppressing forces from Afghanistan and Iraq?
Isn't it high time the USA stopped threatening others, such as Iran and
Syria? Isn't it high time the USA stopped supporting Israel against the
oppressed Palestinians...?" PA
society: Destruction of Israel is desired and attainable goal Destroying Israel continues to be a desired and attainable goal candidly presented in Palestinian Authority discourse and education. The intensity of this hate message has increased on Palestinian Authority Television (PA TV) since Israel left Gush Katif in Gaza, as religious, political and educational leaders have encouraged Palestinians to perceive the events there as a first step towards Israel's destruction. Three PA TV programs stressed this goal last week. The first, a rebroadcast of a so-called "historical educational" program first aired in 2003, reiterated the PA teaching that Israel had no right to exist because all of Israel is "Palestine." Worse, it taught that Israel's continued existence is, by Israel's very nature, a threat to the entire Arab world. The PA TV broadcast showed a map of all of Israel marked as Palestine under the PLO flag, while the narrator taught that if Palestine is not "whole," meaning if Israel continues to exist, it is like a fatal knife thrust into the heart of the Arab nation, which threatens it in its entirety. The following are the words:
"The countries of our [Arab] homeland also have a heart... "If the heart is whole and healthy, then all the other parts are whole and healthy. The heart of the Arab homeland is Palestine. The homeland remains whole and healthy if Palestine is whole and healthy... "A stab in the heart is a deathblow. "Throughout the generations of
history there were those who directed the first stab at the heart of the
Arab nation, to Palestine." A Palestinian academic expressed the same anticipation of Israel's eventual destruction, describing the joy of the Gaza withdrawal as incomplete until Israel will be destroyed:
"Nothing compares to this joy,
the oppressed overcomes the oppressor . but our happiness will not be
complete only with the return of all of our lands - the [West] Bank, Jerusalem,
Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Safed, and other stolen cities". PMW has been warning for years about the dangers of this PA indoctrination to see Israel's existence as illegitimate and temporary, especially among children. The results of this education were seen again this week as three children showed off their drawings of maps of "Palestine" on PA TV. All three children erased Israel's existence in their drawings while the maps were tied in barbed wire symbolizing "Palestine" as ensnared by Israel. These were some their explanations:
Mahmoud Eid: "In this painting I wanted to emphasize the chains that the occupation puts on our people. I painted this map of Palestine, with the Palestinian flag to say to our people that Palestine is still Palestine, and that the Palestinians deserve it - not the Jews." Udai: "I painted the map so we will not forget our place on the map." Significantly, the children call all of Israel "Palestine" and all of Israel is said to be "the Occupation." These conclusions are not surprising - they are the direct result of ten years of PA education. PA schoolbooks - even those published last year - replace Israel with "Palestine" on all maps. In addition, the word "occupation" in the school books refers to all of Israel. For example: "Colonialism: Palestine faced the
British occupation after the First World War in 1917, and the Israeli
occupation in 1948..." Palestinian Media Watch has reported on other examples of Palestinian children reflecting their education that Israel should be destroyed, thereby reflecting one of the central messages of their formal and informal education. One such example was a letter writing competition held by the PA Ministry of Education. The winner wrote of "returning" to Jaffa, a city in Israel. Read the bulletin here. Palestinian Media Watch finds it significant that PA TV would choose to air these programs the day before Israel withdrew its troops from Gaza. These programs reinforce the messages the PA educational system has been delivering for years - and teach Palestinian children to see the peace process as temporary and Israel's destruction as attainable and inevitable.
EU-funded
Palestinian "human rights" group sanctions terror and murder
of Israeli civilians The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) presents itself as a legitimate human rights organization. Indeed, it is perceived as such internationally, and receives funding from the EU's European Commission, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, the Ford Foundation and others (see listing below). However, Palestinian Media Watch's examination of PCHR's statements has revealed an alarming pattern of defending terrorists and their activities. Two recent press releases, both this week and last month, chide terrorist groups for their carelessness in implementing terrorism against Israel - but only because their military activities targeting Israeli civilians have been carried out from Palestinian civilian populated areas, resulting in Palestinian civilian casualties. Worse still, PCHR goes beyond the impropriety of ignoring the Israeli casualties from these often-deadly terror attacks - which have killed three Israeli children under the age of four and other civilians in the last year. PCHR expressly supports the idea of the "military activities" continuing, even though these attacks have been targeting Israeli civilians, as long as the terrorists pick their launching spots to avoid Palestinian casualties. Last month Palestinian terrorists launched rocket attacks aimed at civilians in the Israeli city of Sderot. These terror attacks failed: One rocket hit a Palestinian hospital and another hit a home, killing a Palestinian child and injuring nine others. In response, the PCHR issued a lengthy press release, criticizing the terrorists - not because they launched rockets at Israeli civilians, but because of their "repeated mistakes;" that is, hitting Palestinian civilians instead of Israeli civilians. Moreover, the self-proclaimed "human rights" organization went so far as to expressly support continued terror against civilians. In the final paragraph, instead of condemning the attacks that have been killing Israeli children, they placed conditions on these attacks: Future attacks should be launched from an acceptable place:
This week the pattern continued when an explosion of a Hamas weapons cache located in a residential area killed four Palestinian civilians. The PCHR release ended with another statement sanctioning terror:
The total PCHR message, then, is that terror attacks on Israeli civilians are acceptable "resistance" - as long as they are launched away from Palestinian civilians and as long as they kill only Israelis. Consistent with this ideology, none of the press releases on the PCHR website expresses condemnation for any rocket attacks that have hit their civilian targets and killed Israeli civilians, including young children. Palestinian Media Watch research has likewise found that PCHR falsifies news items to fit its political anti-Israel political agenda. One example is the July 16 press release, issued after Israel killed three Palestinian terrorists. While all three Palestinian dailies identified the dead as belonging to Hamas or Islamic Jihad, the PCHR falsely reported in its press release that is was only Israel who "alleged" their membership in the "resistance groups": "The IOF [Israeli Occupation Forces] state" that they "belong to the military wing of Hamas." This distortion allowed PCHR to mask the true identities of the terrorists and give support to its fallacious assertion that Israel was targeting "civilians." The title of their press release stressed this lie: "IOF [Israeli Occupation Forces] Escalate Attacks on Civilian Targets." In addition, PCHR's definition of Hamas and Islamic Jihad - groups that specialize in suicide terror against civilians and who are on the terror lists of America and European countries - as "resistance groups" raises yet more questions regarding PCHR's status as a legitimate "human right" organization. Falsifying a news report to defame Israel is not Palestinian human rights but Palestinian propaganda. Instructing terrorists to protect Palestinian civilians while continuing to launch rocket and other attacks on Israeli is not defending human rights, but rather defending and promoting terror. European and American Donors PCHR's website indicates that it is funded in Europe by:
Donors from the US include:
PCHR holds "Special Consultative Status" with the UN's Economic and Social Council. This seems to be yet another example of the growing number of documented cases in which well-meaning Western organizations fund Palestinian projects and organizations that either directly or indirectly promote, support or honor terrorists. PCHR Press Releases This week's PCHR press release, issued after the weapons cache exploded, reaches this conclusion:
This is followed by an admonition to the "resistance groups" not to conduct "military operations" in or around civilian areas:
It is clear that the term "military activities" does not refer solely to attacks against Israeli military targets, as that same term was used to refer to rocket attacks against civilians in the Israeli town of Sderot. Conclusions The Western-funded Palestinian Centre for Human Rights is involved in anti-Israel hate propaganda, falsifies news reports in order to defame Israel, instructs terrorists about acceptable locations from which to murder Israeli civilians, and condemns Palestinian rocket attacks because they missed their Israeli civilian targets and killed Palestinians instead. Those organizations that fund this centre in the belief they are contributing to the cause of human rights are actually funding terror promotion, and must share responsibility for its consequences.
PA
gets $50m from US, then calls for terror against US soldiers Palestinian Authority hatred of the United States is so deeply ingrained in its ideology that it continues to openly promote vicious anti-American hatred - even right after signing a deal to receive $50 million in direct aid from the US. Radio and television sermons by senior PA religious officials in the past week have presented the US as foremost among the "heretical" countries, and as an enemy trying to dismantle the Islamic world. In the presence of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, one religious leader called for Iraqis to intensify terrorist uprisings against American soldiers. The timing of these anti-US sermons is particularly significant - and not just because they come on the heels of the $50-million grant from the US. The PA has received considerable worldwide criticism for the hatred and calls for violence in its official sermons. In recent months, it has been reported that the texts of these sermons are now presented to PA officials for approval before the public broadcasts. The following is the report of the recent signing of an agreement for $50 million in US aid to the PA, followed by the two Palestinian Authority sermons of September 2, 2005. "The [Palestinian] National Authority
yesterday signed an agreement with the US Government, to the value of
50 million dollars. According to the agreement, Washington will provide
the National Authority with a grant for funding housing and infrastructure
projects. On the Palestinian side, Finance Minister Dr. Salam Fayad, signed
[the agreement] and for the American side, the US Consul General, Jacob
Willis, and the vice manager of the US Agency for International Development,
David Harden, signed the agreement". Yusuf Abu Sneina, Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque "Anyone who watches closely the nature of our world today, can see that the heretical countries - first and foremost, the USA - have succeeded greatly in tearing our Islamic world apart by disintegrating and splitting up more than one Islamic state, intending to weaken it, disperse [its citizens] and plunder its resources… It is terrorism, and there's no choice but to fight it. "As regards Iraq, there is much to say about it. The USA has composed a draft of the Iraqi Constitution in a way that it will serve US interests and enhance the disintegration of Iraq's unity. The new constitution includes federal solutions, which are dividing Iraq into small countries… "A federal government hides behind it; the seeds of a future civil war… The USA is planning to rule Saudi Arabia and disintegrate it, too, despite the close friendly relations between the two countries... "Is the USA going to fulfill its
ambitions and aggressive plans? And, for how long shall the submission
and surrender to the plans of the enemies of the [Islamic] nation?" Yusuf Jum'a Salamah, PA Minister of the Waqf and Religious Affairs, in the presence of Mahmoud Abbas and other senior PA officials "We say to the dear, heroic Iraqi
nation, turn this incident [the accidental death of 1,000 Iraqis] into
an opportunity for resisting [term regularly used by PA to describe terrorist
attacks] the [American] occupation, for uniting families, for unifying
the forces and for opposition to the policy of dismantling Iraq and dividing
it geographically."
PA
Political Conclusions to During the last few weeks, Israel has forcibly removed more than 9,000 Israelis from 25 Israeli towns and villages in Northern Samaria and the Gaza Strip. From the Palestinian perspective, most significant is that this unilateral withdrawal by Israel was brought on by the "victory" in the "resistance" - the Palestinian Authority euphemism for terror. Accordingly, the Palestinians have rarely used the Arabic equivalent of Ariel Sharon's term, "disengagement," but rather, refer to Israel's actions with various other words: insikhab, which means either "withdrawal" or "retreat;" tard, meaning "expulsion;" or dakhr and indikhar, which mean both "expulsion" and "defeat." These expressions are used throughout Palestinian society. Not only are there no meaningful differences among the PA, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terminology but the groups seem to be competing to take credit for the terror that caused Israel to retreat. The political and social conclusions the PA and terrorist groups have drawn from the unilateral withdrawal will have important ramifications for the region's future. Some of these conclusions, which have been stressed repeatedly in the months leading up to and during the evacuation, are: Terror ("resistance") has proven itself the most effective tool to force political concessions from Israel Terror can work either independently or as part of a cycle with diplomacy: "The gun sows and diplomacy reaps" Palestinians see Israel retreating to the 1949 Armistice lines as the complete and unconditional acceptance of PA demands, and as an historical precedent that will be repeated in all other areas of dispute: the West Bank, Jerusalem and refugees Terror will be renewed if Israel does not leave the West Bank and Jerusalem and accept PA demands on refugees. This is a uniform message across the political spectrum The following are representative examples from among these repeated political messages and threats by PA political leaders and terrorist leaders: 1. Terror ("resistance") has proven itself the most effective tool to force political concessions from Israel Palestinian Authority "Secretary of Fatah in the Jenin
district, Ata Abu Irmilah … is of the opinion that the departure
of the occupier is a day of great victory, which was achieved by the Palestinian
resistance and, in its lead, Fatah and Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades." "This is a day for the people,
so it can celebrate in honor of the sacrifice of the shahids [martyrs
for Allah]. The Israeli withdrawal was not an act of charity but is the
fruit of the strong stance of our people over the years…" "Israel cannot withstand the brave
Palestinian resistance… This is the beginning of the liberation,
which was achieved by all factions of the brave Palestinian resistance." Islamic Jihad "Dr. Muhammad Al-Hindi, a senior
figure in Islamic Jihad, stressed … that his movement sees in the
retreat from Gaza a victory for the resistance, [and] a victory for the
men of the resistance" Hamas "To the brothers, the Jihad Fighters of Al-Qassam Brigades [terrorist wing of Hamas], May Allah bless your jihad, your blood, you sweat, your guardianship, and your suffering. Without this jihad and steadfastness, Gaza wouldn't have been liberated. "To the brothers in the [other]
resistance organizations, I congratulate you on this victory, and on the
liberation of the Gaza Strip from the foulness of Zionists. I bear witness
that this victory was made with your resistance [i.e. terror] and partnership
with us, with our cooperation and coordination together and joint operations..." 2. Terror works either independently or as part of a cycle with diplomacy: "The gun sows and diplomacy reaps" Palestinian Authority "[Hani Al-Hasan, Member of Fatah
Central Committee, said] 'The armed struggle is sowing and the political
struggle is reaping and he who does not sow does not harvest. Yet,' he
emphasized, 'the harvest should take place in its [right] time…
Everything in its [right] time. The current stage is the stage of harvest.
In this stage diplomacy comes before the gun and in the time of the sowing
the gun comes before diplomacy…'" "Commander of the National Security
Forces in the Northern District, Colonel Sha'aban Abu Asr … explained
that he called this operation [the deployment of PA forces] by the name
'The Harvest' - it is the stage of gathering the fruits [of victory].
He … prayed that Allah will have us succeed in our ways so we will
go toward the big harvest…" Hamas "To our brothers in the Palestinian
Authority, The liberation of Gaza is an important lesson to all of us.
A part of our homeland has been liberated with the bounty of Allah first,
and the strikes of the sincere jihad fighters from the whole of the brave
Palestinian people. Let us comprehend this lesson, and keep the weapons
of the resistance raised, along side the political work." 3. Palestinians see Israel retreating to the 1949 Armistice lines as the complete, unconditional acceptance of the PA demands, and as an historical precedent that wil bel repeated in all other areas of dispute: the West Bank, Jerusalem and refugees Palestinian Authority "President Mahmoud Abbas emphasized
that today our nation celebrates the freeing of Gaza and the north of
the [West] Bank and tomorrow will celebrate the freeing of Jerusalem…" "Member of Legislative Council
Abd Al-Fattah Hama'il … made a speech on behalf of President Mahmoud
Abbas. He discussed the withdrawal from Gaza and said that it was a great
achievement and a fruit of our struggle and that Gaza was the beginning,
because a journey of one thousand miles begins with one step. Abu Al-Sukkar
made a speech on behalf of the prisoners. He urged … everyone to
make [efforts] for their liberation and said that jihad was a commandment
that everyone is obliged to fulfill by himself…" "The fate of the Israeli settlements,
including the settlement in East Jerusalem, will match the fate of the
settlements in the Gaza Strip." "I am optimistic, for I never dreamt
that one settlement would be evacuated in the time of Sharon. The evacuation
of settlements by Sharon is an historical precedent…" "The coordinator of the Mass Committee
for Aid and Support in the east Khan Yunis area, which belongs to Fatah,
Ayman Al-Raqb … emphasized that the efforts of Fatah should be united
in order to turn the day of the Gaza Strip and north West Bank evacuation
into a Palestinian wedding, which reflects the nobility of our Palestinian
people, who sacrificed shahids, wounded and prisoners so that it would
attend this historic day. He expressed his hope that this wedding would
expand to rest of the cities and villages of Palestine in the near future
and that our masses would celebrate at the gates of Jerusalem…" Hamas "To our brethren in Jerusalem and
the West Bank, I talk to you today certain that Gaza is the beginning
of the road ... and all our towns, villages and camps in the West Bank
are an omen that the next stage, with Allah's support, will be defeating
the occupation from your lands." Islamic Jihad "Islamic Jihad … emphasized
that the withdrawal from Gaza is the first cycle of the defeat of the
occupation, [and] that after it would come [more] cycles until the restitution
of all Palestinian lands." 4. Terror will be renewed if Israel does not leave the West Bank and Jerusalem and accept PA demands on refugees "Our opinion is that this withdrawal
- its benefit is in reaching the [West] Bank and Jerusalem, in the completion
of our sovereignty on our land; terminals, air space and water [sources]
and in that our daily life, will continue fully and continuously between
us and the [West] Bank, otherwise the elements of explosion might be the
strongest and the most tragic in the long history of the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict…" "Jenin, which gave tens of shahids
that took part in the battle, raised the weapons in the face of aggression
and [thus] continued on their way towards the glory while holding their
weapons - in front of these, we emphasize, that the process of liberation
is continuing until the passing of the occupation…" "Let us retain the Gaza Strip as
a base similar to North Vietnam and prepare for the nearing, full liberation

Ministry of Culture The Palestinian Authority (PA) and its newspapers continue to honor past and future female suicide terrorists. Past Terrorist: Hanadi Jaradat
The PA's Ministry of Culture released its "Book of the Month" today, a poetry collection honoring suicide terrorist Hanadi Jaradat, who murdered 29 Israelis. It was distributed as a special supplement in the daily Al-Ayyam. Entitled "What Did Hanadi Say?" the collection includes a poem glorifying Jaradat's act of suicide terror, calling it "the highest goal": "O Hanadi! Shake the earth under the feet of the enemies! Blow it up! Hanadi said: "It is the wedding of Hanadi the day when death as a Martyr for Allah, becomes the highest goal." The poem is dedicated to Jaradat (pictured), called "the Rose of Palestine," who murdered 29 Jews and Arabs in a suicide bombing in a Haifa restaurant in October 2003. The poem criticizes the Arab nation
for ignoring Jihad: "Where is the [Arab] nation..? The armies hid, nothing left in the field ... not the sound of Jihad, all of them, at the moment of decision, surrender, obey the enemies..." She complains: "O Hanadi..! The flag of the nation is not flying in the fields of Jihad." The poem ends as Hanadi takes the initiative: "O Hanadi! Shake the earth under
the feet of the enemies! Blow it up! It is the wedding of Hanadi the day
when death as a Martyr for Allah, becomes the highest goal, that liberates
my land." This glorification of a mass murderer was not a private enterprise, but was published by the PA Ministry of Culture. Future terrorists: New Hamas Woman Terror Brigade
In another example of honoring female terrorists, the PA's official daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, yesterday trumpeted the establishment by Hamas of a brigade of aspiring female terrorists. This picture of women training with American-made automatic rifles was published, along with text describing the various roles for which the women are in training. Following is more text of the poem 'What
Did Hanadi Say?' and the Al-Hayat Al-Jadida article on Hamas' new recruits.
"What did Hanadi say?" [Dedication:] "To the Rose of Palestine, the Iris of [Mount] Carmel, the Martyr for Allah Hanadi Jaradat" What did Hanadi say "Armed women troops in Al-Qassam brigades" "Sources in Hamas revealed the existence of women military troops in the Izzadin Al-Qassam brigades [the armed wing of Hamas]. This step came after Al-Quds Brigades, the militant wing of the Islamic Jihad, released eight months ago a video in which tens of women fighters and martyrdom-seekers, dressed in a "loose" army uniform, were practicing [using] all sorts of sophisticated weapons and missile launchers. "The Palestinian Media Center reporter who met these troops said that he underwent a full search and went through extreme security measures before reaching the women's training facility. "According to sources in Al-Qassam brigades, this unit, which consists of several Palestinian women civilians, is trained in using all sorts of weapons that can be found inside the Gaza Strip, for example Al-Qassam rockets... "These women were training in groups. One group was trained to prepare and plant explosives, another was trained using missile launchers, another was trained using mortars, and another was practicing an assault maneuver. "A member of this unit said these women train for joining the efforts of jihad and liberation. "This woman, who was a spokeswoman for the unit, was wearing an army uniform, and a veil covered her face, and she was carrying a machine gun on her shoulder, and a gun on her hip. "It is worth mentioning that
the phenomenon of women militant troops is unique among the Islamic movements.
The militant role of women was first revealed by the self-sacrificial
actions carried out by Hiba Al-Daraghma and Hanadi Jaradat of Al-Quds
Brigades [of the Islamic Jihad], and Reem Riyashi of Al-Qassam Brigades
[of Hamas]."
Palestinians:
Gaza withdrawal By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook Introduction
Israel's leaving the Gaza Strip is being presented by the Palestinian Authority and the Hamas as a victory for Islam. Palestinian Authority religious leaders and Hamas have for years been presenting their conflict with Israel as part of an unbroken religious war, which Allah is waging against Jews - a conflict whose climax will be the extermination of the world's Jews. (Palestinian Media Watch has reported on this ideology. See documentation below.) Within this context, Israel's leaving its towns in Gaza now, is being presented as a victory of Islam in this war. Palestinian Authority Television hosts and participants alike are calling the Israeli moves from its towns as a 'great victory for Allah'. The Hamas website publicized numerous posters that declare the same religious victory theme. The Hamas poster below, showing a face of Hamas founder Ahmad Yassin laughing, superimposed over a somber religious Jew, presents the Sharon evacuation plan as a victory of the Koran over the Talmud. The words on the poster: "Our Koran proves that we were right and your Talmud proves that you were wrong..." Another Hamas poster shows a rifle and the Koran with the words: "With those two together the victory has been achieved."
One example from the Palestinian Authority's official daily:
In June 2004 Palestinian Authority religious leader Ibrahim Mudayris already preached the religious significance he saw in Sharon's plan, connecting it to an event described in the Koran, specifically focusing on Israel's plan to destroy the towns before leaving. The Koranic event and the present expulsion, according to this senior PA imam, have numerous parallels: 1. Attacks by Muslims against Jews 2. Jews become fearful 3. Jews destroy their own homes 4. Jews flee their towns Mudayris' sermon of June 4, 2004
The following is the text Mudayris was referring to in the Koran:
From the Archives Previously reported examples of numerous Palestinian Authority religious and academic leaders presenting the war against Israel as a religious war that will end with the extermination of the Jews. 1. Muhammad Abd Al Hadi La’afi, responsible for Religious Teaching and Instruction in the Office of the Wakf:
2. Ibrahim Mudayris, Head of the Association for Memorizing the Koran
3. Muhammad Ibrahim Madi
4. Dr. Ahmad Abu Halabiya, Sharia [Islamic Law] Rulings Council and Rector of Advanced Studies, Islamic University "We
the Palestinian nation, our fate from Allah is to be the vanguard of the
war against the Jews until resurrection as the prophet Muhammad said:
'Resurrection will not arrive until you will fight the Jews and kill them.'
We the Palestinians are the vanguard in this issue and in this campaign
whether or not we want this." 5 . Dr. Hassan Khater "Muhammad said in his Hadith: ’The Hour [of Resurrection] will not arrive until you fight the Jews and the rock and the tree will say: O Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!’ "...Allah
meant our land and our people and meant our trees and our stones."
PA
uses US pop culture In a virtually unprecedented move, Palestinian Authority Television (PA TV) broadcast a full-length American movie in the original English, with Arabic subtitles. Although introducing PA TV viewers to Western culture would appear to be a positive move, in actual fact, the film furthered the anti-American agenda of the PA. Broadcast July 25, it acted as just another 'hate America' message, albeit with a twist; the accuser was an American in an American-produced film, thereby giving greater credence to the charges. Produced in 1992, at the end of the Cold War era, Nick and Eddy in Trouble presents the United States as an imperialist tyrant, and promotes the anti-American conspiracy theories that had been common in the Communist Bloc - and are now widespread in the Arab world. The story follows Eddy, an investigative reporter who discovers that the United States is promoting and funding terrorism in "San Karbata," a fictional South American country. The goal of the US in the movie was to destabilize San Karbata's democratically elected government and to gain control of the country as a satellite state for imperialist purposes and financial gain. Throughout the movie Eddy sermonizes about the imperialist attitude that pervades the American government, leading it to commit atrocities in the name of morality. Eddy: "Yeah, well, that's exactly what our government is telling us it is! 'Cause San Karbata doesn't want to be a satellite of this country, of the US, any more. They want to run their lives to suit their own lifestyles. They don't want the US controlling them any more." He reinforces the idea of a US conspiracy by specifically pointing to America's malicious intentions: "Most of the people here believe that the US is funding the Guerra rebels [the terrorists]. I understand that the US is arming these opposing parties in order to undermine the government and generally screw up the progress here." Finally the journalist has a rude awakening when he concludes that all his life he has been fooled by his own country: "It's weird how we grew up with this image of America being the good guy, when, if you research a little, you find out that our country has done some pretty crappy things to other countries to control them. It's a bummer." America is depicted as viciously interfering in international affairs through its CIA operatives around the world. "Because the CIA doesn't like the actions that the new government is taking, they are helping the Guerras [the terrorists of the story]." Finally the journalist meets the terrorists, and confirms that they are fighting for the CIA, though with a new twist. The CIA has kidnapped his family and he fights in order to save their lives: Terrorist: "I am a pawn in this game like all soldiers in all wars. We do the labor for the leaders of our countries - the leaders who own us all. They try to convince the people that they fight for morality and justice. There has never been one Goddamn war fought for morality. Its about might, resources, real estate, hummers, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Central America. It's all about money. Assholes like you know nothing about what is going on. You know nothing!! It's funny how it is not common knowledge that my family is being held in protective custody by the CIA." Eddy: "So what, you do the CIA's dirty work in exchange for…?" Terrorist: "Life. My family's lives. It's all a game. Everyone becomes a victim, not just people in Third World war-torn countries. Life is not a battle between good and evil. It is the struggle to be the assailant rather than the victim. It is what God intended. Survival of the fittest." [All quotes from Nick and Eddy in Trouble, PA TV, July 25, 2005] In choosing to resurrect this obscure anti-American film, the PA is actively and intentionally promoting the negative stereotype of America as international bully. Going beyond its routine anti-American hatred in religious sermons and newspaper editorials, the PA is reinforcing the hatred of America that is already so rampant in the PA today, this time using a subtler but very potent entertainment medium. This kind of popular entertainment in a midday time slot during the summer vacation reaches a wide audience, including and especially children. By using this movie and other media to present the US as the source of world terror, the PA is promoting a central argument in Arab anti-Western ideology. Using an American-produced movie to give credence to Arab anti-American propaganda is similar to the common PA tactic of quoting Jews to "prove" its anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda. (An example is the citing of Norman Finklestein's statements on the Holocaust, to "prove" that Jews turned the Holocaust into an industry for financial profit.) Additional dialogue from the movie Eddy: "San Karbata had a revolution three years ago. You remember the price of bananas went sky high? Well, what happened was the people got sick of the military dictatorship, and all the land down there is owned by just a few rich families. Since the main industry down there is agriculture, a majority of the people are poor... so for the average San Karbatan there is no economic opportunity, shitty living conditions, no education, bad health. I mean, life basically sucks for everyone but the military officers and the landowners. So the people got sick of it and revolted and kicked out the scumbags running the old regime, and started a new democratic government." Nick: "Typical revolution scenario." Eddy: "They want to get rid of the extreme social classes, make everyone more equal, no real poor people and no filthy rich people." Nick: "Like communism?" Eddy: "Yeah well that's exactly what our (American) government is telling us it is! 'Cause San Karbata doesn't want to be a satellite of this country, of the US, any more. They want to run their lives to suit their own lifestyles. They don't want the US controlling them any more... "Well, all the exiled supporters of the old dictatorship are trying to mess up the new government. They've set up these military training camps outside of the country and they have sent these bands of terrorists over the borders to blow away the civilians... "Most of the people here believe that the US is funding the Guerra rebels. They say that there are CIA guys falling out of the trees here. I understand that the US is arming these opposing parties in order to undermine the government and generally screw up the progress here." Lewis: "We also know how corrupt factions of the government can secretly do anything they want to without approval from the people. Our government has come a long way in three years but the CIA and the Guerras are like a bone in its side." Nick: "Big US corporations - they lost a lot of money when we took over the government." Eddy: "It's weird how we grew up with this image of America being the good guy when, if you research a little, you find out that our country has done some pretty crappy things to other countries to control them. It's a bummer."
PA Continues
Support of Terror While the world continues to praise the Palestinian Authority for its "fight" against terror, in Arabic the PA continues its unabated legitimization and glorification of terror targeting Israelis. Terrorists from three Palestinian terror organizations murdered an Israel couple on Saturday night, July 23.
The murdered couple were parents of
teenage children. PA condemnations in English were careful to avoid criticizing
the "action" as murder or terror, but rather censured it as
"damaging to the PA." In Arabic however, the PA’s official
daily effectively endorsed the murders, as it has done consistently under
the leadership of Mahmoud Abbas, legitimizing and glorifying the terror
and granting the most elevated status to the murderers – the status
of Shahid – Martyr for Allah. The daily also published a heroic picture of the "Shahids," as pictured above. The following are excerpts from the article legitimizing the terror and granting heroic Shahid status to the terrorists, that appeared in Abbas’ official daily on the day after the killings: "The two shahids are Tariq Salim Yassin (22) ... of Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades and the Shahid Yekhya Al-Ris Khamad Abu Taha (21), from Rafah. "Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, which belongs to the Fatah movement, the Al-Quds Companies, the military branch of the Islamic Jihad movement, and Al-Nasir Salah Al-Din Regiments, the military branch of the Popular Resistance Committees, [all] claimed joint responsibility for the attack... "An Islamic Jihad movement senior [official], Khalid Al-Batash, emphasized that the operation in Kisufim ... came in retaliation to the assassination crimes that were committed by the Occupation... "He said that the operation is not considered a violation of the 'Calm' [i.e. cease fire] and that the Resistance will retaliate to the violations of the Occupation whenever it has an opportunity... "He also said, 'The Calm is not holy. The government of Tel Aviv is not committed to the Cairo Agreement, but continues with the actions of land clearance and killing, and with building the fence... We cannot stare at the shedding of Palestinian blood [and do nothing]...' "He added, '...If anyone has an interest in the Calm, he has to press Tel Aviv to respect it [the Calm]...' "Fatah confirmed in an announcement its consistent position that it is important and necessary ... that the retaliation to the violations of the Calm agreement on the side of the Occupation will be within the national consensus ... 'for achieving our goals and our legitimate national rights for freedom, return [of refugees], full national independence and the establishment of our fully sovereign, independent state with Jerusalem as its capital...' "The factions of the resistance
emphasized that the execution of the operation does not mean, in any way,
the repudiation of the Hudna [cease fire] ... but comes within the framework
of natural retaliation to the crimes of Israel..." Aside from ascribing to dead terrorists the highest Islamic honor, the article was careful to use other terms that reinforce the temporary nature of the current lull in attacks against Israel. The unofficial cease fire that most Palestinian terror groups declared in February (and have subsequently broken frequently) is labelled a 'Calm,' indicating a limited period of rest, after which terror will resume. Also note that the Palestinian leadership and press define their terrorism as 'Resistance,' and therefore legitimate.
A Study of the Ongoing Anti-British Religious Hatred in the PA By Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook, July 14, 2005 Less than 24 hours after the July 7 terrorist bombings in London, a Palestinian Authority Television sermon called for the extermination of every single Infidel:
"Annihilate the Infidels and the Polytheists! Your [i.e. Allah's] enemies are the enemies of the religion! Allah, disperse their gathering and break up their unity, and turn on them, the evil adversities. Allah, count them and kill them to the last one, and don't leave even one." [Suleiman Al-Satari, PA TV, July 8, 2005. This call for the genocide of all Infidels is particularly striking coming as Britain was still reeling from the London terror attacks - especially since PA religious usage routinely includes Britain in the "Infidel" category. [See examples below.] Such a call does not represent a new policy - or even a shift in policy. While the PA is careful to exclude this hate ideology from the image it presents to the foreign media, to its own people in Arabic the PA has always presented itself as part of a greater Arab-Islamic conflict against the West. This enmity is focused primarily on the US and Britain, who are seen as the dominant forces of Western civilization. This enmity is neither time nor event dependent, but is presented as part of Allah's plan. The ultimate victory is predetermined, Palestinians are taught, and Islam will eventually rule over America and Britain. This representation of current affairs as an Islamic-Western religious conflict is of particular significance given the overwhelming religious sentiment in PA society. In a recent poll, 69% of Palestinians preferred that the PA follow the Shari'a - Islamic religious law, while only 16% preferred laws passed by their own Palestinian Legislature. Another 11% wanted both. [Palestinian Center for Research and Cultural Dialogue, March 3, 2005] The following is a review of some of this religious hate _expression towards Britain as reported in the PA media. It is important to understand the depths of this pan-Islamic, anti-Western religious sentiment when searching for the motivation of the London suicide terrorists. Britain is among the Infidels
"America, Britain and Spain ... are uniting to strike at the people of truth [i.e. Muslims] in their homeland. This is the Infidels' way, Oh Muslims... The United Nations, to our regret, has become Dar al-Nadwa [literally 'House of Assembly,' the term for the pre-Islamic meeting place in Mecca], because that is where the Infidels meet." Ibrahim Mudayris, PA TV, February 28, 2003.
"The Infidel countries under the leadership of the US made up an excuse and justification to wage their dirty war [post 9-11 war in Afghanistan] against Islam and the Muslims... Concerning evil Britain, which directly brought about this corrupt entity [Israel] on Palestinian land. Britain forgot that it is the height of terror and the height of hatred against Islam and Moslems." [Yusuf Abu Sneina, Iman of Al-Aqsa Mosque, PA Radio, December 28, 2001. Prayers to Allah to destroy Britain
Dr. Ikrime Sabri, Mufti of Jerusalem, highest-ranking Islamic figure in the Palestinian Authority, just 18 days before the September 11 attacks against America in 2001: "Oh, Allah, destroy America and its supporters and collaborators. Oh Allah, destroy Britain and its supporters and collaborators." [Ikrime Sabri, PA Radio, August 24, 2001.
"It is our obligation to prepare for the soldiers of Allah who are advancing in the will of Allah, glorified and praised. We will prepare a foothold for them. Allah willing, this oppressive state will disappear, the oppressive state Israel. The oppressive country America will disappear. The oppressive country Britain will disappear - those who caused our people's Catastrophe [PA term for the establishment of Israel]. [Muhammad Ibrahim Maadi, PA TV, June 8, 2001. "We shall rule Britain"- the ultimate victory is predetermined
"The Palestinian nation is the strongest on earth. Look at all the civilizations! Look at all the states! Look at all the civilizations and forces and empires. To where did Great Britain disappear..? We [Muslims] have ruled the world and a day will come, by Allah, and we shall rule the world [again]. The day will come and we shall rule America. The day will come and we shall rule Britain." [Ibrahim Mudayris, PA TV, May 13, 2005.
Britain hated because of war in Iraq "Allah, punish our enemies! You enemies, the enemies of the Religion [i.e. Islam]... Allah, punish America and those who set an alliance with it... Destroy them and destroy their weapons... Allah, cleanse the land of Islam from the treachery and shame, cleanse our lands from the conquerors' filth, from the filth of America and the defilement of Britain..." [Muhammad Jamal Abu Hanud, PATV, August 1, 2003] Britain hated because of Israel's existence "Those [Jews] do not know what a homeland is and do not know what a land is... Concerning Palestine, it belongs to us... They came, expelled from every land, came to this lanevery country andd claming to have a national homeland on the land of Palestine, with the help of Britain. That vengeance still stands between us and them; [a vengeance] that will not be forgotten except by a coward or traitor." [Ibrahim Mudayris, PATV, April 4, 2004]
"In 1917 of the previous century, Palestine was conquered by Britain, on whom we place full responsibility for the events in this land. At this opportunity, we put the responsibility on Britain [for the creation of the state of Israel] and say: we will never forget our revenge! We will never forget our revenge on Britain, who cannot escape the burden of its historical, political and moral responsibility because of what it committed on the land of Palestine... "Britain [is the one] that promised them [i.e. Jews] the establishment of a national homeland on the land of Palestine. Why? Because Britain resented the Jewish presence there, in Britain, and wanted to be relieved of them..." [Ibrahim Mudayris, PATV, May 13, 2005.
PA
Course Honors Terrorist Wafa Idris Creating heroes and role models plays an important socialization function in every society. Palestinian Media Watch has documented the Palestinian Authority (PA) policy of turning terrorist-murderers into heroes and role models for adults and children. A particularly important Palestinian Authority heroine is Wafa Idris, who in January 2002 became the first Palestinian woman suicide terrorist. On January 27 that year, Idris blew herself up on Jaffa St, in the center of Jerusalem. She killed one civilian and injured over 70 others. Although the PA issued condemnations in English at the time of the bombing, it has since turned Idris into a valued heroine in Palestinian society. The Union of Palestinian Women presented Idris' murderous act as a role model for Palestinian feminism, a parade for young girls was held in her honor, summer camps for children, university courses, and Fatah programs have been named for her, and a concert honoring Idris has been broadcast numerous times on PA TV. This week yet another PA program was named in her honor, the "Shahida (Martyr for Allah) Wafa Idris course for Fatah women cadres." The following is a partial listing of these events starting with the most recent example:
University courses "The Shabiba student movement, 'the Shahida Wafa Idris cell' in the Al-Quds Open University, celebrated the completion of a course in democracy and human rights." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, August 11, 2002] Summer camps "Yesterday, activities ended in the camp named after the Shahida Wafa Idris, for girls in the city of Kalkiliya. The camp was founded by the Scout general administration in the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The camp was under the supervision of the Scouts in the Kalkiliya Administration and about 100 girls from the organizing committee of the city's Scouts participated. [At the closing ceremony, gratitude was expressed] to UNICEF for its support of the camps." [Al-Ayyam, July 18, 2003] PMW note: After this PMW report was brought to the UN's attention, the UN ensured that summer camps it funded in 2004 were not named for terrorists. Concerts
The following are lyrics sung in honor of Idris at a concert and aired on PA TV. My sister Wafa, My sister Wafa [PATV, July 24, 2003 and others]
Marches A march with young girls honoring Idris: Text on Poster: "The Fatah Movement... eulogizes with great pride the heroic Shahida Wafa Idris." [Al-Ayyam, February 1, 2002]
Union for Palestinian Women: Terrorism as symbol of equality
Terrorist frameworks honor Idris After Idris' attack the PA realized that women could slip past Israeli security more easily than men, and the PA's 'Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades' created a unit comprised of women terrorists just for this purpose.
Palestinian Media Watch continues to make an impact in the world's media. Washington’s Examiner recently highlighted the education of young Palestinians into a worship of Shahada, or death for Allah, and a desire to kill Jews. As was written in the article: "Because of the invaluable Palestinian Media Watch, we know that glorification of suicide bombing - even to small children - continues to this day on Palestinian television, from talking puppets that extol the virtues of violence to preteen girls telling an adult that 'martyrdom' is the greatest success one could ever achieve." The article follows, and can also be seen here. Terrorism's young victims When we think of Palestinian terrorism, often forgotten are its other victims. For most, it is an unintentional oversight; for terror's apologists, it is an absolute necessity. For terror's avowed supporters, however, the other victims are not considered victims at all; they are thought of as heroes. Speaking at a conference on Islam and Democracy in April, journalist Anisa Mehdi suggested that the only reason we consider Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah terrorists is because Americans aren't "pro-Palestinian." She added that if we were, we would call them "Palestinian partisans," not terrorists. After her speech, I asked Mehdi what she would call a 12-year-old strapping on a bomb and killing a dozen civilians in a cafe. As she sat stunned by the question, the luncheon's other speaker, Abdullah Schleifer (executive producer of the documentary "Control Room"), leapt to the podium and said, "Of course it is. And in fact, it's terrorism against the 12-year-old." Although 12-year-olds are on the young end of children converted into suicide bombers, the terrorism perpetrated by the likes of Hamas and Islamic Jihad against young Palestinians is real - and growing. Roughly one month after this luncheon, Israeli soldiers at the Hawara checkpoint in Nablus stopped two teenagers attempting to smuggle explosives under their clothes. One was 15, the other 14. When interviewed by NBC News' Martin Fletcher, the 15-year-old, Mohammed Mustafa al-Nadi, said that he was recruited to "kill the Jews" by al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, which was formerly under the thumb of Yasser Arafat. The boy said he only agreed to become a suicide bomber after being asked five times. Young Mohammed is, sadly, more the rule than the exception. Already this year, more than 50 Palestinians under the age of 18 have been apprehended attempting to smuggle bombs into Israel, and at least six have been under 16. Additionally, it was announced this week that Israel's Shin Bet security force arrested a terror cell just outside of Nablus last month and four of the eight taken into custody were 15 or 16 years old. Just more than a year ago, the entire world witnessed a frightened 15-year-old at the Hawara checkpoint who decided he couldn't go through with blowing himself up. Israeli soldiers cleared the area, used a robot to remove the bomb strapped to his chest and then safely detonated it. Talking to the BBC a few months later from his jail cell, Hussam Abdo said that although he was glad to be alive and wouldn't tell his friends to become suicide bombers, he nonetheless still viewed the act he failed to commit as a glorious one. He said blowing yourself up in order to kill Jews is "better than being a singer or a footballer. It's better than everything." In an earlier interview with an Israeli newspaper, Hussam revealed where his mind had become so twisted: in Palestinian school. The 15-year-old said that "paradise" was "a river of honey, a river of wine and 72 virgins. Since I have been studying Quran I know about the sweet life that waits there." As easy as it would be to chalk up the recruitment of children to the evil deeds of terrorists, both Mohammed's and Hussam's experiences demonstrate that the terrorists had help. The kids, like many others their age, are primed for jihad long before they have the mental capacity to fully comprehend what they're being spoon-fed. The indoctrination that nearly claimed Hussam's life permeates Palestinian society, from government-controlled media to the culture at large that exalts suicide bombers as "martyrs" or "shahids." Because of the invaluable Palestinian Media Watch, we know that glorification of suicide bombing - even to small children - continues to this day on Palestinian television, from talking puppets that extol the virtues of violence to preteen girls telling an adult that "martyrdom" is the greatest success one could ever achieve. Even at a grassroots level, suicide bombings enjoy popular support. Sports teams, schools and streets are named after terrorists, and many families of suicide bombers claim that they enjoy immediately increased standing in the community. Arafat is largely responsible for poisoning the well, but his death alone does not remove the poison. His successor and longtime right-hand man, Mahmoud Abbas, in fact, has yet to take a significant step in that direction. But even once he does, wholesale change can't happen overnight. In the meantime, more children will be sent off to kill - and die. Children who lack any rational conception of death, who are coaxed into evil with the false promise of paradise. These are the other victims of Palestinian terrorism, and they should never be forgotten.
PMW Report on Front
Page June 27, 2005 In a front-page article, the daily New York Sun covered the appearance by Palestinian Media Watch Director Itamar Marcus before the Mid East Sub-Committee of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives. Mr. Marcus was presenting the latest Palestinian Media Watch report, released Friday. The full text of the Sun article follows. Report: U.S. Government Funds Terrorism-Promotion BY ELI LAKE - The NY Sun June 24, 2005 WASHINGTON - An Israeli watchdog group alleges that American aid to Palestinian universities and cities promotes terrorism. A report to be released Friday by Palestinian Media Watch singles out the U.S. Agency for International Development, contending that it has ignored new congressional restrictions that the group helped craft last year on aid money. Specifically, the report points to American development assistance in the West Bank and Gaza that funds universities with student chapters of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which have funded roadwork for streets renamed to commemorate suicide bombers and television programming that encourages hatred of Jews. A USAID spokeswoman yesterday said that procedures are in place to make sure that in-kind donations to Palestinian institutions are not diverted to terrorism. But the report has already drawn attention from Capitol Hill, where Palestinian Media Watch's director, Itamar Marcus, is scheduled to testify Friday before the House International Relations Committee on his findings. When asked for a comment on the report yesterday, Rep. Nita Lowey, a New York Democrat who drafted the tighter restrictions last year from her post in the House Appropriations Committee, said USAID must respond to Palestinian Media Watch's allegations. "I am very disturbed by the findings of this report, particularly the widespread nature of the alleged violations," she said. "I will ask USAID to provide Congress with a detailed response to these findings immediately. This report cannot go unanswered by the leadership of USAID." The Bush administration broke a long-standing taboo last month when the president announced $50 million in direct aid to the Palestinian Authority, meant to help the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, prepare for Israel's scheduled withdrawal of settlers next month from Gaza. In February, the State Department announced a new package of $350 million in American aid to Palestinian nongovernmental organizations. Mr. Marcus's report is particularly critical of USAID: "Governmental and non-governmental organizations in the Palestinian Authority continue to receive hundreds of millions of dollars from the U.S. Agency for International Development, some of which is going directly to frameworks that sponsor branches of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations," the report's executive summary says. A spokeswoman for USAID, Heather Layman, said in an e-mail response for comment, "USAID provides 'in-kind' assistance to some Palestinian Authority agencies - for example, technical assistance, training, office equipment, medical supplies, and the construction of infrastructure facilities, such as water wells, pipelines, and schools. All of this in-kind assistance is targeted to specific development objectives, and is carefully monitored to ensure that no assistance is diverted to other uses." In her e-mail, Ms. Layman said that USAID has a careful vetting process to ensure that none of its subcontractors are connected with terrorist organizations. She said that employees and grant recipients must sign agreements stating as much. Mr. Marcus, who served during the Oslo negotiations with a team of Israelis who prodded Yasser Arafat to end incitement of terror, said that major gaps in USAID's vetting process allow funds to go to organizations that promote and honor terrorism. "If they think they can pour millions into Palestinian universities while turning a blind eye to the Hamas branches on those universities, they are making a mockery of the United States anti-terror policy,"he said."The problem is that Palestinian children, all they see, is the honoring of these suicide bombers." Mr. Marcus's report garners most of its evidence from Palestinian press reports. Nonetheless, these open sources are revealing. In the last year, USAID gave $41 million to Palestinian universities, including five with prominent Hamas and Islamic Jihad chapters that receive money due to their standing as student organizations. The report details how sports clubs are named after suicide bombers and assassinated leaders of Hamas. Streets in Gaza and West Bank towns have been renamed for these so-called martyrs, as have schools. For example, in February the 14-year-old winner of a marathon sponsored by Mr. Abbas came from a learning center named after Salah Khalaf, the head of Black September, the terrorist organization responsible for murdering 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. The report cites a March 29, 2005, article in al-Hayat wherein the dean of faculty at al-Najah University is described as opening an exhibition dubbed the "bridge of the shahids," a reference to martyrs. Less than two weeks later, on April 10, the Hamas chapter of the university invited a member of the terrorist organization's political bureau, Mahmoud Ghazel, to a mass assembly. Last year, al-Najah commemorated in a display on campus the Sbarro Pizzeria bombing from 2001 that killed 15 Israelis. The exhibition featured replicas of body parts on the walls. Mr. Abbas has earned respect and confidence from the White House and European leaders for criticizing suicide bombing and the violent tactics of the Intifadah. However, Israelis have complained recently that he has failed to dismantle Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The presence of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad on campus is important, the report says, because many suicide bombers - such as the woman this week who had strapped dynamite to her body as she was taken to an Israeli university for surgery - are university students. A former senior adviser on Palestinian-Israeli negotiations to three presidents, Aaron Miller, yesterday said that Palestinian universities have chapters of terrorist organizations like other Palestinian political parties. But he also said that American policy has an obligation not to fund any programs that promote terror. "We cannot give money that is being channeled directly or that is associated with promoting violence," he said. "There are all kinds of derivative implications of providing this to the Palestinian Authority. A lot of the incitement has been toned down, but it has not been eliminated."
June 24, 2005 Congresswoman Nita Lowey: to read the full reoprt click here At a briefing to the Mid East Sub-Committee of the International Relations Committee in the US House of Representatives on Friday, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) Director Itamar Marcus released the organization's new report that documents the fact that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) is distributing millions of dollars to institutions and frameworks in the Palestinian Authority that should be ineligible for funding by US law. Congresswoman Nita Lowey, of New York, told the NY Sun that USAID must respond to Palestinian Media Watch's allegations. "I am very disturbed by the findings of this report, particularly the widespread nature of the alleged violations," she said. "I will ask USAID to provide Congress with a detailed response to these findings immediately. This report cannot go unanswered by the leadership of USAID." US law prohibits the funding of any governmental structure, institution, organization or company that sponsors or promotes terrorism. US money likewise must not go to honoring terrorists. Yet the 22-page PMW report documents numerous problematic examples in US funding procedures. For example:
Last year PMW released a report to Congress entitled "Four Loopholes in US Anti-Terror Funding Laws" which recommended six amendments to US law. In the 2005 Foreign Operations Bill, Congress adopted all six PMW recommendations. This PMW report documents what seem to be violations of these new US government restrictions. to read the full reoprt click here

Encouragement of Child Introduction
Diaspora, a series presented as a fact-based dramatization of history that has been shown daily on prime-time PA TV for a month. Throughout the series, Israel's creation and continued existence have been presented as injustices that must be fought. This episode was set in 1956, as Arabs mourn Israel's existence. A 12-year-old refugee reads his uncle a story he wrote. The scene has two explicit messages. 1. A child should be willing and eager
to fight and die in order to destroy Israel. The following is an excerpt from the scene:
It is important to note that the
scene opens with the boy's friend writing, "I shall return,"
over a map he drew of "Palestine" -- a map that does not acknowledge
Israel's existence.
PA TV Culture: Introduction While the Palestinian Authority (PA) focuses on the West Bank and Gaza in international forums, to its own people delegitimizing Israel's existence as a state continues to be the cornerstone of its ideology. Two recent broadcasts on official PA television reinforced this hate message, presenting Israelis as killers and thieves who "stole" Arab land to create the state, and promoting the symbol of the "key" - the claim to be the rightful owners of all of Israel.
The first is from a so-called "historical" TV series depicting events before and during Israel's War of Independence in 1948. The daily broadcasts distort history, presenting Israelis as well armed evil soldiers fighting with British support against valiant Arabs defending their villages. The seven Arab armies that attacked Israel are not shown. In one of the many vicious libels in the series, actors portray Israeli soldiers murdering an infant in cold blood after destroying his family's village.
The second is through a cultural program in which dancers carry giant "keys" on their backs. Though burdened by the weight, they slowly dance. The "key" symbolizes the PA's claim to ownership of all of Israel and its plan to "return".
Visual
Hate Messages in the Introduction The following are examples from May 2005.
1.
Promoting violence and the murder of Jews This dagger piercing the Star of David appeared for
eight seconds on a PA TV program about refugees.
PA visual images portray "Palestine" as temporarily
occupied by Israel. These visuals often include the symbol of the key
- signifying the PA's claim to be the true owners of all of Israel. Lately,
these visuals have depicted the key approaching Israel. This reflects
the PA's sense of progress towards its goals of "returning."

Extermination of
Jews and Subjugation of Christians- Introduction
The final stage of history will be the subjugation of all Christian countries under Islam and the extermination of every single Jew - this according to the PA religious leader during Friday’s Sermon. The Jews are so evil, Ibrahim Mudayris teaches, that they cannot be subjugated like the Christian countries, and therefore the only solution awaiting them is death – literally the extermination of every Jew. In his words: “The day will come and we shall rule America, Britain, we shall rule the entire world, except the Jews.”
Ibrahim Mudayris,
Friday Sermon: "There is no god but Allah, Who warned His Prophet [Muhammad] of the Jews; who murdered their prophets, and falsified their Bible; who were corrupt and corrupted throughout their existence; [and] violated their treaties and agreements. Hundreds of verses about them came down [from the heavens] and appeared in the Koran. And in them it is told of the corruption of their qualities and their evil intentions… Had Allah not protected Muhammad [lit. the Beloved], he would have been a victim of the Jews’ treachery, he would have been one of the thousands of prophets who were murdered by the Jews… This [May 15, the day the PA marks Israel’s
Independence] is the hardest day of remembrance for the Palestinian people
… because with the loss of Palestine, the Arab nation was lost,
and with the establishment of the false State of Israel, the whole Muslim
nation was lost. ...You’ll find that Jews behind every conflict on Earth. The suffering of nations - The Jews are behind it! Ask Britain! What did it do to the Jews at the beginning of the sixth century? What did they do to the Jews? They persecuted them, tortured them, and prevented them from entering for more than 300 years... Ask France! They tortured them, persecuted them and burned their Talmud, for the conflicts that they [i.e. Jews] tried to ignite in France in the period of Louis XIX. Ask Portugal what it did to the Jews! Ask Czarist Russia - who invited the Jews and they plotted to murder the Czar! And he massacred them repeatedly. Don’t ask Germany what it did to the Jews, since the Jews are the ones who provoked Nazism to fight the entire world. On the day the Jews provoked – through the Zionist movement – the nations of the world to fight Germany economically, and to boycott German goods; on the day that they incited Russia, Britain, France and Italy, the anger of the Germans toward the Jews increased significantly, and what happened – happened at that time so that [Holocaust] Remembrance Day is commemorated by the Jews to this day. For they are doing something worse than was done to them in the Nazi war. Possibly some of them were killed, possibly some of them were burned, but they’re exaggerating [the Holocaust] in order to win over world media, and world sympathy. The worst criminal acts in history were perpetrated upon the Jews, but they are not worse than those perpetrated upon the inhabitants of Palestine. What was done to the Jews is a crime, but isn't what they are doing in Palestine a crime…?
The right [of the Jews] stems from their power, but our right - or our power - stems from our right. The rights of the Jews stem from their power, and power is transient… Know, O Muslims, that the Jews in their conferences, led by the cursed Herzl did not set Palestine as their goal for the establishment of a national home... Herzl admitted, and said: 'We could have accepted the establishment of a national home in Mozambique.’ Mozambique, which Portugal wanted to give them - also to get rid of them… Liar - he who says that the Jews have any rights to this land – besides being occupiers. And they will disappear!... The Jews have the power of a balloon;
it isn’t real. Why? Because the Jews drew their power from the Muslims’
weakness - our weakness. They drew their power from our weakness... If
we wished to measure power, then [we’d find that] power is the power
of character, the power of determination and faith is the real power.
And the Jews have nothing of that power. Because Allah, who created them,
is the one who confirmed that to us... Where did Great Britain disappear? Where
did the Czar’s Russia disappear? Where did France, that almost ruled
the world, disappear? Where did Nazi Germany, which massacred millions
and ruled the earth, disappear? Where did all those forces disappear?
In Allah’s will, He will get rid of the USA like he got rid of them.
He caused Russia to disappear within a day, and He is the one Who can
remove the USA and bring it down, and so He shall do it, in Allah’s
will... “The prophet said [the Hadith]:
“The resurrection will not take place until the Muslims fight the
Jews, and the Muslims kill them. The Jews will hide behind the rock and
tree, and the rock and tree will say: Oh servant of Allah, Oh Muslim,
there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!”. PMW’s report: Kill a Jew - go to Heaven - a full report outlining the PA systematic justification of genocide, can be found on the PMW web site, at the following address: http://www.pmw.org.il/KAJ_eng.htm
Rejecting
Israel’s Legitimacy
“Do you know what happened in 1948?” asks a pretty young girl on Palestinian Authority (PA) TV. “They [Israelis] took everything,” is her answer. This message was broadcast today in a music video for children, and was part of the full day dedicated to mourning the creation of Israel 57 years ago today, on May15,1948. This message to children, “Israel took everything in 1948” summarizes the essence of PA ideology, and the motivation for the continuing PA war against Israel today. Friday’s sermon likewise reiterated the PA rejection of Israel together with the promise that Israel will be destroyed: “This “Nakba” –
“Catastrophe” is the worst day of remembrance for the Palestinian
people… because with the lose of Palestine, the Arab nation was
lost, and with the establishment of the false state of Israel, the whole
Muslim nation was lost… He who says that the Jews have any right
over this land – besides being occupiers – is a liar, and
they will disappear”. The "Key" is Symbol
of Palestinian Goals
The denial of Israel’s existence is expressed visually as well. The key has long been the symbol of the Palestinian claim to ownership of Israel and their desire to see the fulfillment of their so-called ‘right of return,’ shorthand for removing Israel’s Jewish majority and thus effectively destroying Israel. Palestinian newspapers – including the PA’s official daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida – have, in the last few days, published numerous images of the key. In case the point was missed, today’s image comes replete with a map of Israel – symbolizing ownership over all of Israel. Examples of the key symbol being used
in Palestinian Authority media over the years can be found here:
Another once-popular broadcast
returned to PA TV over the weekend. This clip was shown in part on Friday,
May 13 and numerous times on May 15. It claims that the “forces
of oppression are still dividing the world,” while showing a map
of “Palestine” that erases all of Israel.
Birthday
Greeting An advertisement sending birthday greetings to Saddam Hussein was published yesterday in the official Palestinian Authority daily newspaper, Al Hayat Al Jadida. As PMW has reported numerous times, Saddam Hussein is seen as a hero by the PA leadership and population. During the war in Iraq, PA political and academic leaders called for armed terror against US soldiers, and a music video calling for Iraqis to kill US troops was played daily on PA TV. PA society, media and leadership actively mourned his fall. To view music video go to: http://pmw.org.il/asx/PMW_Baghdad.asx The following is the text of the birthday greeting in the PA daily:
Headline: "Blessings to the leader
of the masses, Saddam Hussein the faithful, the legal President of the
Iraqi Republic on the occasion of his 68th birthday."
PA TV: Christians and Jews have forsaken the teachings of Jesus and Moses By Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, May 1, 2005 PA TV last week rebroadcast a religious program maligning Christians and Jews. Christians are accused of forsaking Jesus’s teaching of love, while the Jews are said to have “worshipped gold... falsified the Torah [of Moses]... made business of the Torah and became rich.” In contrast to those who did not follow God’s Prophets, the lesson teaches of Muhammad’s birth: “... an orphan child is born who will, in the future, become responsible for quenching the world's desire for justice, love, freedom and truth.” PMW sees particular significance in the rebroadcast of hate programming on Palestinian Authority-controlled TV, as it indicates that these are messages the PA has actively chosen to repeat at this time.
The following are excerpts from this PA TV religious program:
The program, The Prophets of Allah, begins with the names of 19 Prophets on the screen, including Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus [Isa] and Muhammad.
Host: "700 years have passed since the birth of Jesus the Christian, during which the Christians have distanced themselves from the teachings of love. The Jews have forsaken the commandments of Moses and returned to worshiping gold. [Visual; Jews in movie, depicting period of Prophets, are seen falling upon gold coins falling to the ground.]
In one of the crude tents an orphan child is born who will, in the future, become responsible for quenching the world's desire for justice, love, freedom and truth. At a distance of a few steps from his birthplace, statues of idols filled the ancient square and around the Qa`aba [holy black stone in Mecca] built by Abraham and Ishmael to be turned into a house of worship sanctified to Allah, where He alone is worshipped…. While far from Mecca, Yath'reb [previous name of Madina] became full of Jews who escaped from the Byzantines, and they landed like wolves on the most fertile land and the most important commodities, and established their villages by taking advantage of the loose Arab presence and their internal disputes. The Jewish scholars would make business of the Torah: They hid [select] pages of it, attached pages, falsified pages, and went on to become rich. And while the Jews were worshipping the gold, faithfully engaging in trade, specializing in scheming, the Arabs worshipped the stones [idols], dedicated themselves to warfare and specialized in composing poetry.” [PA TV, April 21, 2005 and Feb 10, 2005]
"Escape" of two terrorists continues Arafat policy By Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, April 28, 2005 Introduction: The Palestinian Authority (PA) reported this week on the "escape" from prison of the two terrorists they had arrested after the Tel Aviv suicide bombing in February.
This "escape" is yet another indication that Mahmoud Abbas is using the same strategies of duplicity that were used by the Arafat regime. Arresting terrorists immediately after bombings, only to quietly report their "escape" after the bombing was no longer a news item, was an effective tool used by Arafat. Because of this approach, the West praised him as a terror fighter, while he was praised at home as a terror supporter.
The PA under Arafat used varied methods to facilitate these "escapes." The following item from the PMW archives is the PA's own description of one particularity creative "escape" from a PA prison of 3 terrorists in 1999.
Al Quds: October 6, 1999 "Governor of Nablus, Brigadier General Mahmud Alaalul, a member of the revolutionary committee of Fatah...disclosed the details of the escape of three Islamic Jihad prisoners... Last Saturday, the prison officials allowed four prisoners to go to the Al-Quds Open University to register for studies. The four were accompanied by a single policeman and once there, the four entered the university while the policeman waited for them outside. After a few hours, only one of the four prisoners returned, the others did not. It was clear that the other three had escaped.
Alaalul notes the high level of trust between the prison management and the prisoners as the reason that the prison sent only one policeman. There was no expectation that they would escape."
PA Accusation: US
forcing Christianity on Muslims Introduction This week, a religious leader whose salary is paid by the PA added a new accusation to the standard attacks on American policy by preaching that the US war effort in Iraq and elsewhere, including "Palestine," attempts to force Muslims to convert to Christianity. He said US actions today were crueler than those of a Christian Caesar who, according to Islamic tradition, dipped a Muslim into boiling oil in order to force his conversion to Christianity. In addition, an old accusation was repeated in an article in the official PA daily this week. The writer states that the true enemy of the Arabs is not Israel but the US, and that Israel is merely an arm of the US in its imperialist wars. In this article the US is accused of "grinding the bones" of Palestinian children, "devouring their eyes." It is important to note that the inflammatory sermon comes only a few weeks after the PA leadership announced it would review the Friday sermons to remove incitement and hateful content. The following are the two items from this week's PA media: Friday sermon on PA TV

PA income up 27% by “fighting corruption and smuggling” while PA ministers’ cars cost $76,000
Introduction The Palestinian Authority’s (PA) vast misuse of foreign financial assistance has frequently been exposed and well- publicized.
A statistic cited in Tuesday’s official PA daily, Al Hayat Al Jadida, gives some indication of the scope of the corruption. According to Salam Fayad, the PA Minister of Finance, the PA was able to achieve a staggering 27% rise in its 2004 income by “fighting corruption and smuggling.” This gain in income indicates how much money, including foreign aid, had previously been siphoned off by corrupt officials even before reaching the PA books.
The full scope of the corruption is far greater, however, as this figure merely represents the improvement in 2004 over 2003. In 2004 itself, corruption was still so rampant that it was a major issue in recent PA local elections, even causing the electoral defeat of the Fatah candidates. [See analysis by Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research of Khalil Shikaki, March 10-12, 2005].
Despite these crackdowns to increase money reaching the PA, Palestinians continue to complain about the questionable ways in which the PA is spending the money. An editorial in last week’s Al Hayat Al Jadida criticized the PA for purchasing luxury cars costing up to $76,000 for the new PA ministers.
The following are the texts of the two articles from Al Hayat Al Jadida:
1. 27% rise in PA income - just by fighting corruption and smuggling.
Fayad: “A 27% growth in the PA’s income last year is the result of fighting corruption and smuggling”.
“Dr. Salam Fayad, Minister of Finance, yesterday informed Agence France-Presse that during 2004 there was a growth of 27% (in comparison to 2003), as a result of fighting corruption and smuggling.
He confirmed: “Despite the fact that the financial market did not expand compared with 2002 and 2003, this growth was not a result of an increase in taxes, but rather a result of a struggle against corruption and smuggling.”
2. PA Ministers’ cars cost $76,000 and $45,000.
“How can it be that the Ministry of Finance cannot guarantee a sum of 150 shekels [US$35] for one soldier’s salary, while it can guarantee a sum of $76,000 for a new car for a minister, who already has an excellent government car in very good condition. The proof that some of the older cars are still in very good condition … is that their owners refuse to hand [the old car] in, in exchange for the new one, but rather, some of [the ministers] deceive and manipulate in order to keep both.” [Editorial in Al Hayat Al Jadida, March 17, 2005]

can't silence PMW director
By JONDI GUMZ SANTA CRUZ - Someone doesn't want people to know that Itamar Marcus is speaking at UC Santa Cruz tonight. Marcus, the director of Palestinian Media Watch who has testified before the U.S. Senate, will talk about Palestinian suicide bombers in the Middle East. His talk, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Classroom 321 at Kresge College, is sponsored by Students for Peace in the Middle East and the Chabad Student Center, two UCSC groups, and Stand with Us, a national organization supporting Israel. Hundreds of fliers posted Monday on bulletin boards and at bus stops on campus, have been removed or defaced, said UCSC lecturer Tammi Rossman-Benjamin. She saw slogans such as "Zionism = Racism" and "Occupation is Murder" written on the fliers. "I've never seen fliers defaced in this way," said Rossman-Benjamin, a member of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, the faculty group co-sponsoring the talk by the pro-Israeli Marcus. "Whatever happened to free speech?" said Dejah Harris, a senior sitting outside the Kresge dorms. Kresge College staff said they had not seen the flier but received complaints that it was offensive. The flier features a photograph of a baby dressed up as a suicide bomber with the words: "Why Teach a Child to Kill." The photo, found in 2002 in a Palestinian family album, was distributed by The Associated Press and Reuters. "It's not that we put it together in Photoshop," said Rossman-Benjamin. "What's offensive is that Palestinians teach their children to blow themselves up and kill Israelis." Lee Maranto of the Student Organization Advising and Resource Office said the fliers should be treated like any other publicity for an event. Removing the fliers would go against campus policy, Maranto said, adding, "All speech is protected by the First Amendment."
Jerusalem Post Op-Ed:
In the aftermath of Friday night's terror attack on a beachfront Tel Aviv night club - the first under the tenure of Mahmoud Abbas began - it is clear that the Palestinian media under Abbas's control are continuing Arafat's standard policies.
While the foreign media accept at face value the PA's official condemnation of Friday's suicide bombing, the PA-controlled media are glorifying the bomber as a shahid (martyr who died for Allah) - the highest level of human achievement for a Muslim. By granting shahid status to the murderer, the PA media are portraying suicide terror as a positive religious act. The official condemnations of the bombing, therefore, focus not on deploring the act but on lamenting the consequences: damage to the Palestinian cause. Sunday's front-page coverage of the story in the official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida features a giant color photo of the terrorist at the top of the page, with the caption:"The executor of the Tel Aviv operation, the shahid Abdullah Badran."
Another photograph shows his mother holding the terrorist's picture, and is captioned: "The mother of the Shahid." The daily newspaper Al-Ayyam refers to "the family of the Shahid."Al-Quds refers to "the family of the shahid Abdullah," and to the arrest of "the shahid's two brothers" and to a "mourning tent in memory of the shahid." An earlier story in Al-Ayyam refers to the bomber as "Istish-hadi" - a shahid who actively sought death for Allah and succeeded. To get a sense of the status the PA-controlled
media are granting Friday's terrorist by "When the Shahid meets his Maker, all his sins are forgiven from the first gush of blood, and he is exempted from the torments of the grave. He sees his place in Paradise. He is shielded from the Great Shock and marries 72 Dark-Eyed [Maidens]. He is a heavenly advocate for 70 members of his family. On his head is placed a crown of honor, one stone of which is worth more than all there is in this world." (Dr. Isma'il al-Raduan, PATV, August 17, 2001) Accordingly, the use of the terms "shahid" and "Istish-hadi" for the terrorist leaves no question about the message the PA-controlled media are sending Palestinians about this terror attack: This murder and death for Allah, like those in recent years, is the supreme positive act for a Muslim. Given this ultimate veneration of the act of murder, condemnations of the suicide attack within the PA-controlled media have focused on the "poor timing" and the fact that the attack was a violation of the agreement between Abbas and Hamas to stop killing civilians during the cease-fire. The killings were criticized because they were detrimental to PA policy - nothing more. As in the Arafat years, the act of killing Israeli citizens was not portrayed as immoral or wrong. On Monday, Hassan Asfour, a member of the PA parliament, put it this way on PA TV: "This is the first action that no one is happy about. Everyone felt that the timing is not [right] and there is absolutely no need for it... It is not because the resistance against the occupation is a mistake, but because the nature, location and timing of the action are a mistake." Both Abbas and his adviser Nabil Abu Rudueineh criticize not the morality of the action itself, but the damage to the Palestinians: "President Mahmoud Abbas described the operation... as a condemned sabotage attack, blaming a third party for the execution in order to jeopardize the peace process and to damage the reputation or the Palestinian people." "Presidential adviser Nabil Abu Rudeineh [said the PA] 'condemns this operation especially coming after the hudna and the calming, which were achieved with the factions... the Authority opposes any action, which targets civilians. This is a part of the hudna which was declared in Sharm el-Sheikh. We oppose any violation of this hudna.' He also clarified that this sort of action harms the supreme national interests of the Palestinian people." Under the new leadership of Mahmoud Abbas, the message to Palestinian society remains essentially unchanged from that of the Arafat era: Killing Israeli civilians is positive. Just be sure the timing's right. [Some of the above text did not appear in the Jerusalem Post article because of space considerations.]

The previous week, he preached about the Palestinians' longing for the destruction of Israel and America. The following are the texts of these

Introduction
PA Academic on PA TV: Killing of Jews is Mandatory By Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, December 27, 2004
For example, world attention has brought pressure on the PA to change the content of the Friday sermons, in which religious leaders have repeatedly called for the genocide of Jews. The PA has not eliminated the message, however, but has merely transferred it to another framework. For years, the PA religious establishment has repeatedly portrayed the killing of Jews as a religious necessity. Today, PA TV chose to rebroadcast this same call to genocide as a historical necessity -- this time from a senior PA academic rather than from a religious leader. Dr. Hassan Khater, founder of the Al Quds Encyclopedia and a TV lecturer, cited the identical Hadith - Islamic tradition attributed to Mohammed - that the religious leaders have used to demand this genocide. This was part of a lecture focusing on what he described as the war of the Jews against Palestinian trees. These were his words quoting the Hadith: The continued teaching that this Hadith applies today could well be a dominant factor driving terror against Israeli civilians. By depicting redemption as dependent on Muslims' killing of Jews, the PA world view presents this genocide as a religious obligation and historical necessity -- not related to the conflict over borders, but as something inherent to Allah's world. To view today's call to genocide click here: To

PA TV Sept. 10, 2004:
International Herald Tribune, Dec. 22, 2004: The Palestinian schoolbooks: One of the most meaningful gauges
of the integrity of a peace process and its likelihood for success is
the degree to which the "peace partners" educate towards peace.
It is for this reason that the entire Palestinian Authority (PA) education
apparatus, both formal and informal, has been such a tragic disappointment.
Instead of seizing the opportunity to educate future generations to live
with Israel in peace, the PA has done everything in its power to teach
hatred to young minds. And while the Koran and Islam are certainly
not under scrutiny here, it is tragic that although the Koran and Islam
have positive traditions regarding Jews, the PA educators have chosen
to incorporate only hateful religious traditions. PA children are left
with the impression that that the Koran sees the Jews as an enemy of God,
and consequently their enemy as well. "Islam encourages this [love of
homeland] and established the defense of it as an obligatory commandment
for every Muslim if even a centimeter of his land is stolen. I, a Palestinian
Muslim, love my country Palestine..."[5] *** [1] [Reading the Koran, grade

Jerusalem Post Op-Ed, Dec. 21, 2004: The Incitement Yardstick Following his demand for a crackdown, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon recently remarked that anti-Israel incitement in the Palestinian Authority media had indeed lessened. The incitement issue has generated significant interest and optimism worldwide. Unfortunately, both Sharon's satisfaction and the resulting optimism demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding about Palestinian society. If media incitement were merely the tactical use of hate language by PA leaders to provoke violent behavior against Israel, then even a limited reduction would indeed be significant. But if the hate messages of the past 10 years reflect widespread and deep-seated beliefs within the PA leadership and society, then temporarily removing them from TV screens is like taking a painkiller to fight cancer. The pain may be veiled but the cancer still festers. Palestinian Authority religious and academic leaders have been teaching for four and a half years that Allah demands the killing of Jews; and for 10 years that Israel has no right to exist. Moreover, hate messages expressed through the media mimic the messages the PA espouses through schoolbooks, summer camps, religious lessons, culture, poetry, and more. Every action and statement by the PA indicates that these are not merely superficial statements to "incite" people to sporadic violence, but are accurate indicators of Palestinian society's beliefs and dreams. Just look at the PA Ministry of Education's choice for first-place in its recent letter-writing contest for children. The winning letter, entitled, "I will yet return to Lod," is a child yearning for Israel's eventual destruction: I am Lara from Lod, and I am an 11-year-old girl living in the city of Ramallah. I used to accept that Ramallah is a substitute for Lod, and that the large [Mediterranean] sea has been exchanged for a small pool... you [Israel] do not deserve Lod, and after this day I will no longer accept the small pool. I will dream of the sea at Jaffa and the sunshine in Lod. It is not insignificant - nor is it mere "incitement" - that PA educators chose for first place this powerful hate message to children. Denial of Israel's right to exist and the anticipation of its destruction are among the fundamental principles of PA ideology and education. This is a message they want for their children. Sadly, the PA doesn't even wait for children to reach school to inculcate violence as a value. An October 2004 PA television program for preschoolers featured a talking puppet chick who was asked how he would respond if "a little boy cut down his tree." "I'll fight him and make a big riot," he answered. "I'll bring AK-47s [assault rifles]... I'll commit a massacre in front of the house." A FUNDAMENTAL theological tenet inculcated by the PA media is that Jews - even as individuals - have no right to exist. "The Prophet said: The Resurrection will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims kill them. Rejoice in Allah's Victory... Everything wants vengeance on the Jews... these pigs on the face of the earth. And the day of our victory, Allah willing, will come." (PA TV, Sept 10, 2004) For more than four years PA religious and academic leaders have repeatedly promoted the murder of Jews as the will of God and historical necessity. We can delude ourselves that this is merely temporary incitement - or we can face the harsh reality that such indoctrination has convinced a significant portion of Palestinian society that murdering Jews is an act of worship. At any rate, Sharon's talk about reduced incitement was premature. Just last week, PA TV rebroadcast - for the 11th time - an hour-long hate-promotion film that indoctrinates viewers, especially youth, with the message that Israel has no right to exist. The program stresses that Jaffa, Haifa, and Acre are occupied "Palestine," stolen from the "refugees." It even features a child vowing - with his "blood" - to "return" to west Jerusalem. Yet another recent rebroadcast featured
a senior Palestinian historian calling for Israel's destruction: ALL THIS explains why a tactical reduction in media incitement isn't enough. We face a political, religious, educational and popular culture which in its entirety promotes hatred of Israelis and Jews and teaches that violence is the preferred means of achieving political goals. Media incitement per se is not the problem. The problem is Palestinian aspiration for Israel's destruction - and the Palestinian media are merely our window to these hopes and dreams. If the new Palestinian leaders are serious about peace with Israel they will have to do more than just mask their beliefs with politically acceptable facades. They will have to fundamentally change their world view and then detoxify their society with messages that actively promote peace. Palestinian leaders need to go to their
people and systematically - repeatedly - renounce years of hate promotion. The day we start seeing PA leaders promoting these messages on PA TV is the day a peace process will have begun. Mother
on PATV:
But an interview with a Palestinian mother on PATV yesterday indicates the depth of the PA society's worship of Death for Allah (Shahada), and support of suicide terror, which has not changed merely because of a change of leadership. In this program, a Palestinian mother of a suicide terrorist talks about how she and other mothers in her position see their sons Shahada death as a positive event -- like a joyful wedding. The following is an excerpt from the

cartoons:
The first cartoon shows a rifle-toting Bin Laden, triumphantly astride the conquered ballot box, while George Bush and John Kerry - depicted as much smaller and weaker than Bin Laden -- cower below him.
The second shows a smirking Bin Laden casting what is obviously meant to be the deciding vote in the US election.
Besides mocking the two presidential candidates, the tone of the cartoons reflects the PA's continued admiration of Bin Laden's power. Palestinians danced in the streets after the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The PA-controlled media has continued to celebrate the anniversary of 9/11 with mocking cartoons, such as a fearful Uncle Sam running in terror from an image that depicts both the Twin Towers and the date, 9/11. Today's cartoons suggest that should he choose, Bin Laden has real power to determine the future of the US -- just as the train bombings in Madrid are believed to have changed the outcome of the Spanish elections.
By Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, October 25, 2004 ![]() Talking
animals are commonplace on broadcasting for young children around the
world. They are used to entertain and educate in a way that makes it easy
for children to internalize educational messages.
A children’s program this week on official Palestinian Authority (PA) TV was dedicated to the importance of trees. "Tarabisho" - the Talking Chick -- was, as usual, at the center of the discussion. The child moderator asked the talking chick what he would do if someone, specifically a “little boy,” were to chop down his tree. In his squeaky little voice, Tarabisho answered that he would shoot the little boy with an AK-47 automatic rifle, create a massacre, make a riot, etc. It should be noted that the child moderator twice checks her notes while asking the questions, indicating that this was not a spontaneous discussion but was a deliberate educational message, planned by the writers and producers. Click here to see the footage from PA TV. PMW has reported in the past on the use of popular culture, including music videos, to teach young children to see themselves as active combatants in their leaders’ terror war. This is the first time a talking animal on a program targeting preschoolers has been used to promote killing. The program’s political context should also be understood. After four Israelis, including two preschoolers, were killed by terrorist rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army entered the wooded launching areas and leveled many of the trees used by terrorists to hide their rocket launchers. This program comes on the heels of this military activity. Although the enemy in the discussion is called a “little boy,” the Palestinian media and even PA schoolbooks repeatedly single out Israel as the destroyer of trees. It would be clear to Palestinian viewers, therefore, that Israel would be the target of the massacre promoted by the TV character. This picture, from a PA schoolbook for Grade Two, shows Israeli soldiers destroying trees: ![]() The
following is the full text of the dialogue between the child moderator
and Tarabisho, the Talking Chick:
Girl: “If a boy comes in front of your house where a tree is planted, and cuts it down, what would you do?” Talking Chick: “I have two trees in front of my house.” Girl: “If a little boy cuts them down, what will you do to him?” Talking Chick: “What I'll do to him? I'll fight him and make a big riot, I'll call the whole world and make a riot. I'll bring AK-47s [assault rifles] and the whole world, I'll commit a massacre in front of the house".
The Palestinian Authority (PA)
has revealed that Palestinian children are actively aiding terrorists
in Gaza. In a striking example of the way in which the new PA curriculum
has indoctrinated children, the children have assumed the exact combat
support roles they have been taught in the new PA schoolbooks. This text
book indoctrination compliments PA music videos and other forms of popular
culture, that aim to convince children that their place is in the heart
of battle zones.
Note also that the PA schoolbook’s
defining Israel as “colonialist” is an important component
of the denial of Israel’s right to exist taught in the PA schoolbooks
and popular culture. Teaching that Israel is a foreign European “colonial”
creation is intended to give both legitimacy and zeal to the hatred and
violence the PA actively inculcates among PA children.

Israel
Behind All World Terror and Wars
The repeating refrain of the song: "In the name of terror, innocents die. It's a game of horror, I don't know why." The lyrics on their own suggest this is a song condemning terror, however, the visuals paint a different picture: Israel is to blame for all world terror and suffering. While the victims are from numerous conflicts, the only soldiers shown are Israelis, often in shooting positions, and Israeli soldiers appear at least ten times. The text also includes the words: "How could anyone have survived? I was happy to be not alive. How could anyone, through occupation, survive?" The word "occupation", of course, being the word the PA uses in English to define Israel's rule over the disputed territories, and in Arabic to define all of Israel. The message of this hate-clip is a common theme promoted by PA and Arab leadership: Israeli and/or Jews are behind all world conflict and suffering, either directly, or indirectly by forcing the hand of world powers. It is likewise interesting to note that following standard propaganda tactic, killer and victim are switched. Though Israel has been the most repeated terror victim in recent years, Israel is depicted in this clip as the perpetrator of terror. And whereas perpetrators of international terror have been predominantly Arabs and Muslims, there is not even one scene showing either Arab terror, such as, the world trade center, or victims of Arab terror. The visuals are very powerful and tell the main story. The scenes of victims of massacres and dead bodies interspersed with pictures of Israeli soldiers, send a clear hate-message. The following is the full text. As mentioned, the song is in English and all language mistakes below are in the original. “The Game” / Aida Vocalist:

Promotes Killing and Death- Return of PA TV Clip
Mother of Shahid (Martyr for Allah) gives gun to next son [PA TV Sept 13 -14, 2004] Some of the most prominent violence and Martyrdom promotion clips are returning to PA TV. Last week PMW reported on the return of the infamous "Farewell Letter" clip - which teaches children to aspire Shahada (Martyrdom for Allah) from the child's perspective - because "Shahada is sweet". (See bulletin) PA TV has now started re-broadcasting an old clip which glorifies killing, violence and Shahada - this time coming from the mother's perspective. In the video clip five civilian [non-uniformed] gunmen, armed with automatic rifles, go off to attack Israelis. One of the gunmen is seen running towards Israeli fire until he attacks the Israelis with a hand grenade, after which, in slow motion, he is shot and falls dead to the ground. When his body is brought to his mother she kisses him and raises her hand above her mouth and calls out the traditional Arab call of joy. Afterwards, she stoically hands the rifle to the next in line, presumably also her next son, to continue fighting and dying. To view the PA TV clip click here For years the Palestinian Authority has been using its media outlets both to encourage children to seek heroic Shahada death, while encouraging parents to express joy at having their children die Shahada death. These two clips airing now are complimentary. The "Farewell Letter" clip, being broadcast almost daily, is from the child's perspective, expressing his desire to die in which he explicitly tells his mother in his letter to be joyous: "Mother don't cry over me, be joyous over my blood". The other one is from the mother's perspective - expressing her joy over her child's Shahada death. Many mothers have been interviewed on PA TV explaining why they are joyous over their son's Shahada death. Varied reasons are given, and these interviews may be viewed on the PMW site. Some of the reasons expressed by mothers include:

Twice
in three days on PA TV: PA religious leaders
call for genocide of Jews By Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook Introduction Twice in three days, PA religious leaders have openly called for the genocide of Jews. Broadcast on official PA TV, both called for the murder of Jews until the Jewish people are annihilated. Both presented the killing of Jews not merely as the will of Allah, but also as a necessary stage in history that should be carried out now. To support these mandatory killings, both cited the same Hadith - Islamic tradition attributed to Mohammed - expressing Allah’s will that Muslims will kill Jews, before the “Hour” of Resurrection. The words of the Hadith: "The Hour [Resurrection] will not take place until the Muslims fight the Jews, and kill them. And the Jews will hide behind the rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!" Numerous times in recent years Palestinian religious leaders and academics have taught publicly that this particular Hadith applies today. This teaching may well be a dominant motivating factor that drives terror against Israeli civilians, because it presents the killing of Jews as a religious obligation, not related to the conflict over borders, but as something inherent to Allah’s world. Note also the defining of Jews as "the brothers of the monkeys and pigs" in Maadi's religious lesson. PA religious leaders teach, based on a story in the Quran, that Jews were cursed by Allah and turned into monkeys and pigs. This is consistent with the PA teaching that the Jew's have inherent and unchanging character defects.Click to view the teachings of Sheik Ibrahim Madiras during his Friday sermon and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Maadi on his weekly TV show teaching Islam. The following are the texts of these broadcasts:Sheik Ibrahim Madiras Friday sermon, PA TV Sept. 10, 2004:
The Prophet said: the Jews will hide behind the rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: oh servant of Allah, oh Muslim this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!. Why is there this malice? Because there are none who love the Jews on the face of the earth: not man, not rock, and not tree everything hates them. They destroy everything they destroy the trees and destroy the houses. Everything wants vengeance on the Jews, on these pigs on the face of the earth, and the day of our victory, Allah willing, will come." Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Maadi on his weekly TV show, Sept. 12, 2004:
"We are waging this cruel war with the brothers of the monkeys and pigs, the Jews and the sons of Zion The Jews will fight you and you will subjugate them. Until the Jew will stand behind the tree and rock. And the tree and rock will say: oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him." |
